If Jay’s discography is average than what does that make Nas. After IWW Nas dropped 3 subpar albums in the middle of his prime if you include The Firm. Then after God’s Son up until Life Is Good his shyt was . He dropped that weed plate Nasir and now he’s on a decent run.

Their shyt is about the same except Jay was putting out good albums during his prime and hasn’t since his first retirement besides American Gangster. While Nas was putting out mid during his and is having a late career resurgence.

And besides Illmatic and IWW none of his albums have changed hip hop. And IWW’s influence was mostly negative. You Nas stans live in another world.

how are nas stans getting the blame when 80% of the jay hate is from southern nikkas who simply hate that era of NY arrogance where only east coast nikkas were seen as lyrical and successful. most the threads include "jay wasn't getting play in the south" :dead:
Good points. There are a few Nas stans who are genuinely mad about Jay's success/clout/etc compared to Nas but the vast majority of Nas fans and stans here fukk with Jay. I've seen way more Jay hate from southern brehs on here. Especially when it becomes a Jay v Wayne debate...

Cause they hate anything with skill, while bigging up Future and Gucci Mane as the GOATs, even over Biggie and Pac :why:

Anything of skill or discipline = wack. That's why those same dudes have bad money management and are simping on the low.
Future is the goat tho :why:

3 subpar albums? I am is everything but subpar. Got flaws? Yes Subpar? Hell no. And you count the firm but not distant relatives? And what about r Kelly's collabs wtt and linkin park.
It's always the twist of the narratives bullshyt Jay stans are on

Nas' prime is 91 02.only Nastradamus was mid during that prime so how come he didn't dropped great albums during his. Oh yes you didn't include the two best nas effort in his prime. Once again typical Jay Stan bullshyt

IWW influence was only negative for dusty backpackers. Jay dropped Vol 2 and biggie ready to die and then life after death so no it wasn't negative, it's just that east coast hip hop didn't want to stay in the rapping in front of trash can rap. Nas was just at the forefront of a movement meant to happen anyway

People in general have become very anti jayz. Not just here.

I don't know if it stems from past illuminati allegations

Or people noticing his alleged 'snakish' ways(like the situation with him J.D. and the superbowl or his situation with Dame).

Or people not fukking with his pretentious brand of hiphop

Or the changing tastes of hiphop fans from emphasis on lyrics to "vibes" and "melodies"

But people have become dismissive of jigga

Nas got three of those

Illmatic - dont need to explain
It was written - re introduced rappers singing on chorus, created a shift between underground and mainstream, first n1 hip hop east coast album by a black artist
Life Is good - created a successful Blueprint for older rapper
Nas has 1 album with influence and impact. That’s illmatic

Every high-level rapper have stans. But the people I have listed are high profile industry cats and they put a lot of efforts to creates a lot of narratives in favor of Jay. If you listen to Clark Kent, Jay been better than biggie from day one. Elliott Wilson went on trashing iww and biggin up Jay and put him in competion with Nas at a time when Jay wasn't even in the conversation.

I mean I get it for bleek, but when he went on to say that Nas can't compete with Hov on a versuz stage that's beyond stannery at this point. He could have say "nas and jay would be tough but my man Jay will win that " but no they had to add some kind of disrespect. They are insufferable when it comes to their Jay stannery
It’s not beyond stannery
Nas can’t hold a candle to Jay when it actually comes to performing
Forget the amount of memorable hits Jay had versus Nas

according to what ? i've been to a nas concert this summer it's was fire, when was the last time you went to a jay one. it's not like jay is an astouding performer on stage, he just regular. if you say black thought or busta I could understand, but jay... he was better back in the day but now, nas improved a lot actually, there's no real gap between them
and as for the hits it depends on what the selection is. if jay's intent is to drop empire state of mind or run this town, he's fukked if the crowd is pure hip hop fan. if it's about b sides, nas got a lot of thoses too

Another reason is Jay got too much dikk riders in the industry

Elliott Wilson
Clark Kent
Guru
Memphis bleek
Dream Hampton
Big face Gary
Ice
Just Blaze
Charlamagne

And they often go over the top with it

This is a great reason too. These people (I don't blame bleek that's his family damn near) and angie Martinez, Ebro,.....they dikk ride so hard it makes other people not like him. Prime example was that God did verse...that shyt wasn't a top 30 jay verse and some people where hyping it to hell. I think that creates some of the "Hate" too.

Ok but listen to your logic here. So you don't like Jay....because too many industry nikkas like him.

Like, you don't think that shyt just sounds dumb as hell as a justification?

The hate is because these 40 year old men jealous of Jay for another dude.

People take it personal that people think he better than their favorite rapper

It’s dudes on here mad because Joe budden pod talk about Nas as much as Jay Z

“did they even talk about the 21 record”

Why do it matter to y’all Nas Stan’s that other people talk about him?
