Zeke biggest problem is the OC. They don't seem to believe in establishing the run.

Pollard didn't have a problem doing something productive with his carries :francis:

Zeke has completely lost the burst that made him special. He has no top end speed anymore. He is no threat in the open field, he gets hawked down by everybody now.

He also runs to contact to much, where he sees a defender and he just runs directly into them. No elusiveness.

Dude had A TON of carries his 1st 3 years in the league. He just physically isn't the same back anymore.

His burst through the whole is still better than most RBs. I think defenses relax when Pollard or another back is in. The offense doesnt fit Zeke. He's a volume back.

As someone who has watched virtually every carry of his nfl career...not even close. I do agree Zeke plays better when he gets a ton of carries so he can wear defenses down. But in 2021 what nfl team is giving their running back 30 carries to do that ?

Relaxing with Pollard on the field is a mistake cause if you go back the last two years he is the one with the explosive run and screen plays out of the backfield, not Zeke.

shyt it was Pollard ripping off 50 yards in one drive that got Zeke actually running the ball at all this game :russ:

His burst is better than Najee in Pitt. Zeke would beast in Tampa's offense.

I mean Najee might be the one back Zeke has a better burst than but Najee has almost no burst at all :mjlol:
Zeke just seems to be in self preservation mode since he got paid. They don't give him a lot of touches, which makes me wonder why they don't just get rid of him. Then when he does get the ball, he's not really trying to fight too hard for yards.

Im someone who thought that oline made him what he was. So Im not some Zeke fan, but he can help some teams if he takes a pay cut

When pollard is in the game, the defense pretty much knows a run is coming. They use zeke in the vast majority of passing downs due to his blocking.

Just watch him. Not the same back.

He looks better this year than he did last year. He clearly has more juice to him than he did then and is in better shape/quicker. That said, Zeke is more in the vein of Derrick Henry in the sense where he tends to wear down defenses before one breaks.

Dallas literally threw away the run versus Tampa Bay, and the one carry where he should have scored, Jarwin WHIFFED on a block and Zeke couldn't get north and south before the safety crashed on him. He looked good against the Chargers (who should have blown Dallas out but this ain't the thread for that).

Pollard is faster than him but is by no means a better all-around back than Zeke is. There aren't many that are all-around better than him.
