@thirdeye asked a good question. Is happiness something you actually want? You have to make sure anger hasn't become part of your personality. You might, at this point, be so familiar with

anger/bitterness that you feel uncomfortable in any other state. Before you try and become happier you have to make sure its what you actually want. You might feel more comfortable being miserable.

im tired of being angry and frustrated....seriously what can I do to stop being so cynical? Im tired of being of being so angry and miserable...Im so competitive that I cant play video games anymore because I hate losing so much i contemplate breaking the controller against the wall....I really do need some mental help...so thats not even an outlet......Ill admit it, the first step is to admit u have a problem...im not crazy or nothing so my issue can be fixed i assume

I need a step by step plan...I just want to find peace... Im not looking for happiness, but just being content

what it some of the things yall do?

You may be suffering from a undiagnosed personality disorder or depression.

I have a family member who was diagnosed with ASPD and NPD, and he once had a similar negative outlook.

Do you identify with any of the 3 groups below? There is free mental health centers in most major cities.

Depression:

  • Feelings of sadness, tearfulness, emptiness or hopelessness
  • Angry outbursts, irritability or frustration, even over small matters
  • Loss of interest or pleasure in most or all normal activities, such as sex, hobbies or sports
  • Sleep disturbances, including insomnia or sleeping too much
  • Tiredness and lack of energy, so even small tasks take extra effort
  • Changes in appetite — often reduced appetite and weight loss, but increased cravings for food and weight gain in some people
  • Anxiety, agitation or restlessness
  • Slowed thinking, speaking or body movements
  • Feelings of worthlessness or guilt, fixating on past failures or blaming yourself for things that aren't your responsibility
  • Trouble thinking, concentrating, making decisions and remembering things
  • Frequent or recurrent thoughts of death, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts or suicide
  • Unexplained physical problems, such as back pain or headaches

Antisocial personality disorder
signs and symptoms:

  • Disregard for right and wrong
  • Persistent lying or deceit to exploit others
  • Using charm or wit to manipulate others for personal gain or for sheer personal pleasure
  • Intense egocentrism, sense of superiority and exhibitionism
  • Recurring difficulties with the law
  • Repeatedly violating the rights of others by the use of intimidation, dishonesty and misrepresentation
  • Child abuse or neglect
  • Hostility, significant irritability, agitation, impulsiveness, aggression or violence
  • Lack of empathy for others and lack of remorse about harming others
  • Unnecessary risk-taking or dangerous behaviors
  • Poor or abusive relationships
  • Irresponsible work behavior
  • Failure to learn from the negative consequences of behavior

DSM-5 criteria for Narcissistic personality disorder include these features:

  • Having an exaggerated sense of self-importance
  • Expecting to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it
  • Exaggerating your achievements and talents
  • Being preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate
  • Believing that you are superior and can only be understood by or associate with equally special people
  • Requiring constant admiration
  • Having a sense of entitlement
  • Expecting special favors and unquestioning compliance with your expectations
  • Taking advantage of others to get what you want
  • Having an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others
  • Being envious of others and believing others envy you
  • Behaving in an arrogant or haughty manner

Real shyt, the first thing you need to look at is your health/diet. Stop eating processed bullshyt. Get a lot more vegetables, fruits, fiber, etc., into your diet. Try to get as close to a natural or paleo diet as you can. I guarantee things will start looking up just from that. Then get into the gym. The healthier you are, the better you'll feel, the better you'll look, the more confidence you will gain, etc., etc., it all builds upon itself. Then go from there.

Real talk.... Cutting junk food out of your diet and eating plenty of fruits and veggies along with exercising makes you more happy and energized.

i do but we i want to take it one step at a time

okay go grab a piece of paper, break up the page in four quarters:
what i have
what i need
what i don't neeed
what i want

list all the things in your life that fit under those catergories, then tell me what you have

i did this a few months ago, it helps to put your life on paper where it's physical and able to really see what you need and what you don't need
