I think it usually happens when managers have a hard time filling a shift or th person makes a bad habit of calling off work a lot. Seen it happen but probably not in other lines of work that aren’t shift based.

If you're hourly, try to get them to do the interview early or late in the day. It isn't always a bad thing to be difficult to schedule with, if you're dropping everything to meet with them, it can say something about your loyalty and work ethic at your current job.

I think the bigger obstacle would be trying to explain why you're interviewing already after starting a job yesterday. Unless it's a big step up from the job you just accepted, that will be difficult to explain.

Why are you afraid? You really need to start now to build a job history. Jobs are really easier than what the written descriptions say. Plus you can meet all kinds of friends.

This is why you never make a habit of being late or calling out on the gig. So when you finally do so, ain't nobody trippin.

Be extremely selective with whatever company you interview with and use your Pto/sick days when it's time to interview. Leave early/come in late for any second interviews.

If you were out of vacation days, and had a habit of coming in late/fukkin around, youll have to burn the mothafukka down and do what you have to do with the emergency talk.

It's the hail mary high risk move tho. You got to deliver on the interviews because you're risking losing your gig.
