Savings doesn't make you financially "responsible". You can have $40,000 liquid cash and be a total deadbeat.

:francis: You got that? If not, you got the point then. And I'm sure different banks have different policies on that. Thanks Mr. Critical.
250k is more than enough to be insured just in case a bank collapses. That was my whole point. You making it seem like it's a modest "50" when it's it's 250. But ok...

if you followed the coli advice and just browsed you'd think everyone is living large etc.

yet 50% of american households are making under 50k a year

68% are making under 75k a year
Yet prices for real estate, food, gas etc. have never been higher

stay on your high horse brehs and brehettes

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
I know there are poor people, but I'm specifically referring to cats who are able bodied and have decent jobs. If you got a decent gig, how in the hell do you allow yourself to be in a position where you can tell someone "I'm broke"?

Now for me, if I say "I'm broke", that means that I don't have any discretionary income that I want to spend. That doesn't mean that I have ZERO dollars. I ALWAYS have money saved for emergencies or whatever else. but I have heard plenty of otha nikkas/women claim that they have no money til they get paid for instance. how do you allow yourself to live so hand to mouth? how can you be comfortable NOT having jack shyt in case some shyt goes down?? totally irresponsible.

for instance, if I had 50K saved up, and I spent all my "allowance" that I allow myself every two weeks, then to me, I'm broke. what about ya'll?
living outside your means / debt

you can make 100 million next year.. you fukk around and spend 160 million with another 200 million in interest payments on cars, houses, credit cards

well welcome to broke.. you killing yourself to keep the lights on even tho you making major cake

Honestly, I'm a skeptic.

Banks only got yo money insured if you have over 50 grand in there. Something along those lines.

Y'all tryna lose $49,999 to these mobsters huh :mjpls:

:dwillhuh: Breh.

Okay y'all didn't get what I meant in the first damn post is what I'm seeing.

During the Depression people who didn't have a certain amount sitting in the bank got the " :mjpls: what money?"

Miss me with this point and laugh stuff, even if I was wrong it ain't all that serious.

THUNDER BUDDIES
$600 RENT
$250 BASIC UTILITIES
$200 FOOD
$40 MEDICAL INSURANCE (OBAMACARE AVERAGE)
$100 CAR INSURANCE

$1190 A MONTH
$14280 A YEAR FOR BASICALLY EXISTING. I DIDN'T INCLUDE ANY OTHER EXPENSES. I DIDN'T EVEN INCLUDE GAS FOR THE CAR. I ALSO ASSUMED YOU ALREADY HAD A PAID OFF CAR AND A GENEROUS INSURANCE RATE.

SO YOU NEED TO MAKE $17564 A YEAR TO EXIST. (ASSUMING 23% INCOME TAX RATE)
THAT'S 8.50ISH AN HOUR

At my HS we had a class called Life Management Skills where you learned how to budget, do taxes, etc. My class was the last one to get it before the funding got cut[/B]. Not saying I didn't stumble (summer '07 :wow:) when I was young but I was aware of the traps.

I feel OP, but an understand how you get disconnected the more you start to make more. Sometimes I think about the GROWN people who were working with me in fast food when I was a young kid.

This shyt is sad to read:mjcry:

its like America wants the young nikkas to lose

I have a decent paying job.
My car is paid off.
My apartment is a little expensive but not outside my means at all.
I don't spend to impress others, I got a few bad habits but I don't spend on a lot of things.

Read the first 3 chapters of Rich Dad, Poor Dad and you'll have a clear understanding why poor people are poor and will most like stay that way.
