How do y'all go to the service and be content being broke?

Thinking about the Air Force, but that pay I know you get great Heath care and benefits, but I'm tryna ball in a SRT 8 or CTS V. I couldn't afford either used on an Air Force salary

I got an Associate's degree so I'd most likely start off as E3 but still. As far as why I want to join, well I'm honestly bored and feel like I have to prove myself. Besides, the military would pay for my schooling

On the other hand I'm thinking I stay in the civilian world, go to school for another 2 years and get my bachelor's. Would easily be making $55,000

why not do both after you got your bachelors enlist as a officer do the College Loan Repayment Program to knock off a bit of your student loans

If you got it good in the civilian world don't enlist. It's not worth it.

My friend makes 1600 every 2 weeks.

And he gets a housing allowance of 1500 every 2 weeks too. All utilities included cause he's on base.
