When I was staying in the dorms they just straight took my housing allowance out of my check, it must be different for on house base.

Yeah, they give you extra money if you live in on-base housing. Taking money out for living in dorms is some new shyt. They didn't take anything out when I was stationed in Cali. I just stacked ALL that loot.

You get BAH for staying in the dorms, but it's not a lot and they snatch out so you don't notice it

Don’t you only make $17 an hour(you said that in a thread you made)? That’s not very much money at all, so is the military pay really going to be a huge paycut from what your getting now?

You’ve created other threads about your salary and about not liking your job. I don’t think your happy with your situation breh. Your threads paint a picture of that.

If you think you’ll be happier in the military maybe you should just go for it. Idk a lot of you brehs be so confused and in need of guidance about your lives—I feel like this isn’t the place to seek wisdom about that kind of decision. Good luck though.

We ask questions because everyone on here says they make so much money, so they must be doing something right I guess, $17 an hour doesn’t seem that bad, but I know that it’s peanuts now because of the coli.

But everyone has different paths in life. Most of what I did, I did without seeking guidance from others—sometimes people use this site as a crutch, and it prevents them from making decisions and sticking with them. You gotta just make decisions sometimes breh even when your uncertain, you just have to take that plunge, that leap of faith.

If you work a shytty job you hate, then Do it. :yeshrug:

In these 2 years, You can use tuition assistance to finish your Bachelors of Arts debt free. Your food, housing, and medical expenses will be paid for and you can learn a useful trade for free (if you get a cyber job thats better because it can translate in the real world).

Also the pay is low, but $800-$900 every two weeks, only thing you should pay is your cellphone bill and maybe some subscription services, save like $1200 a month and put it in an interest generating account and in 2 years you can have up to $35K saved up.

It all depends on your current life situation. Think of where you were 5 years ago and where you are now. Now think where you want to be 5 years from now and make that decision
