My parents be on some other shyt. I turn 22 later this year and im really tryna get the fukk on. Too much contention in the crib. I just stay in my room when I'm home to avoid unnecessary arguments. Once I'm out I have zero intention of remaining close.

After one year at school, I came back for the summer. I lasted 6 weeks before I had to get the hell out on my own again. I don't know your situation, but take advantage of living at home to save some serious money and get out. Your mind is telling you it's time to leave and I don't think there's anything you can do to get around it.

I moved out when I was 20 and never looked back. I was more kicked out I guess you could say. I brought it upon myself though... all I did was sit around and play video games and bs with the $100 weekly unemployment I was getting. I finally got some warehouse job after being unemployed for a year making $11.50 an hour. After working for 3 days my dad handed me a check for $1500 and said "Here... this should cover your security plus 1st month, go sign a lease Monday after work. I want you out by next weekend, pay me back within a few months." I hated him at the time but we're closer than ever now and looking back it was for the best. It was extremely difficult though... my checks were only like $800 every 2 weeks and I was living by myself lol.
Even in the animal kingdom, 2 males (parent/child) do not coexist in a pack.
Also l have seen older workmates deal with having older kids still at home. The lady would say she & her husband have put in the work to get the kids to adulthood, they just want their time and space to finally enjoy life as a couple.
