Sure you have plenty to be jealous about. Unless you are at the point where you don't have to work, you have plenty to be jealous about in regards to billionaires. That's the only explanation I have for why you would take such a shaky stance built on false premises. I.e. you speak of rich folks getting their money by "hoarding" it as though rich people don't work or invest and earn their money, ever.
And I did offer a solution. More investments into education and job placement/public work programs for the poor. The difference is I don't think we have to go after money rich people already paid taxes on to do it. Rich people already pay the majority of taxes, do the lion share of investing and generally drive the economy with their contributions... so putting even more of a burden on them is stupid. What we can do though is reappropriate money we are already using and put it to better use. Instead of spending a trillion dollars a year on the military we can spend that on education. Keep welfare around, but make it a public work program for people who are able to do so. Like you said we need to invest in infrastructure... why not employ the people on welfare to help with some of that? Expand Medicare/Medicaid into a single payer program anyone can enroll in. Etc. etc. I'm tired of brehs using poverty as a backdrop for exacting revenge on people with more money than them. We don't have to go after the rich to solve every problem.
