A lot are dead, in jail or still there. But they share a common goal, selling drugs.
:unimpressed:
So how do you mentally cope with knowing that you made it out while the majority didn’t?

I keep it moving like to be honest like you said I feel a burden from family and it’s horrible because they put you in the situations they are in especially if you wanted to get up and away from that. I can point to specific instances growing up and even recently when my life was fukked up by black women in my family from mom to aunts. Doing bullshyt to try to bring you down to their level when you have extreme confidence in yourself that comes out (as a black man this energy should be a renewable source but most times it ruins out by teenage years) and their self confidence issues as women come out because they want you to be their man but you can’t be their man and a man so they do mental tactics and rob you of your time. In a way practice for the outside. I remember seeing on Twitter that whole “ If you call the cops on a black man you wishing them death” and thinking about times that happened and almost happened to me then afterwards dealing with this same person trying to hug me or ask me about school or pry into my interests left me double disgusted.

Then you got the nikkas in your family who just do dumb shyt that that everyone gotta take care of like getting them out of jail, giving them money (even when they in the streets), taking care of their kids (because kids are innocent), and just so much more. It’s draining and stressful and it kills. I always looked at my life growing up as if I can make it to this next day then this so let me not fukk up in any of these ways and when it comes to the opposition I may not know what they are thinking but I know of a variety of ways they might so I can kinda autopilot that.

But I’m coming to the sad conclusion that I won’t because I’m being smart by not having kids till I’m established there’s going to holidays where I’m with the people I described or I’m in silence. If I got my girl pregnant I wouldn’t get the help nor want the help from these people or them to even see my kids. I just think generations before thought about what you posted and just said fukk it and made horrible horrible decisions that if you made them today it would be on a news article that would be 9 pages on here. We give a lot of respect to people for just being here in spite of their harm.

I had a family member become a crackhead and this was after they decided to not learn to read or write or count. He was illiterate but because this was a different world he was able to open businesses and travel the world but at the end he still was an illiterate crack head. Back in the days just seemed so much simpler and easier but the future will have its own good things, great things, bad things, and worse things.

Outside world for as big as the world is the smaller you make it the better. Focus on improving yourself in ways and repairing what you can within yourself. Google can help so much before a doctor can. Find a way to release stress that nobody knows of so they can’t add tension to it like there “he goes to go run in his circles”. Say less words and make the words you say have more of an impact. And probably most important of all when you realize you losing get to the L and move on and that includes talking about it with the people that caused it. Also nobody will remember you after too long but it can be a very long time until then.

Also Will Smith lost and won he was so successful that his kids didn’t have to think about racism and believed they were aliens and with any problems they had Will handled it but their mom infected their brain hence you get the allegory. In his movies Will acts as the way Black men could be from Fresh Prince to even this King Richard role it makes sense why he wouldn’t do a slave fantasy movie in Django or a proxy for our future controlled by algorithms in the Matrix. That’s his legacy much more than Jada’s kids.

That’s why I made a thread on contextualizing the experience of black men in this society. If you don’t feel the need to contribute, ignore it.:unimpressed:

I contributed what I wanted to contribute. I’m militant in real life nikka. Y’all just like to cry. Dumb ass nikkas love talking black plight issues in public forums with crackers and people trolling y’all. Y’all silly

I don’t really like having serious discussions in TLR about these things for obvious reasons but…

Just from reading post on here I can tell that social media and YouTubers are responsible for a lot of black men feeling down all the time, the men caught up in it just don’t realize yet. If you’re feeling down or have a negative view about something then entertaining commentary that reinforces your negative view is really not good, especially if you’re consuming it on a daily basis. You can say it’s just entertainment and for some that might be true, but you can tell by a lot of responses that it’s way more than entertainment and it’s damn near personal.

What you consume and how much of it you consume really matters.

Except most are, not all if you want to be purposely obtuse, but the exception is not the rule.

Facts don’t change with individual feelings. We live in a system of white supremacy black oppression.

I'm not being obtuse. How many successful black men do you know?

You're making a blanket which is disrespectful to the brothers are successful and don't sell out.

c00ning on aisle 6 :coffee:

If you honestly can’t admit the truth than you’re the deluded individual.

Can you really call yourself a black man if you can’t talk about the oppressive systems that effect us?

There’s nothing broken about talking about the truth. How are you going to tell me from black man to black man that I need help because I’m bringing attention to something we face as a COLLECTIVE?

This is real fukking life.

Who says I don't talk about systems, I just can't spend all day being sad and worried. People got mouths to feed, people take care of. If you depressed, go invest some therapy. If you mad enough about conditions, go invest some community.

basically you have to be poor, down and out, and resign to a life of defeat to not be a sellout. he’s a bottom of the barrel agent.

thread needs to be bushed but he has a mega thread coming so people can see his collective antics.

This is complete bullshyt here.. Supposed one day you do make it? You going to consider yourself a hypocrite?
Usually, making it entails supporting oppressive systems. Usually, it involves inhibiting yourself, putting on an act foreign to who you truly are. On the highest of levels, you have to sell out.

Because surely, you may have made it, but have you really when majority of you the people like you haven’t and never will. What will you tell your children when they see how the world truly is?

These are the facts, interpret them how you will.

You came in, contributed nothing, and shyt the very notion that black men could come together and speak on real life shyt.

Very militant behavior.

And fukk these CACS.

But as I clearly stated before. The exception is not the rule. One’s individual limited experience does not quantify the breadth of reality. You only have to look at majority of black public figures to absolve your confirmation bias :coffee:

This was a real post breh.. You see the obstacles you're facing before you even deal with systemic racism.. If your family structure is shot from top to bottom, you starting out behind the eight ball.. Stay focused and make some long term goals for yourself and strive to complete them.. Focus on you 1st, before you even consider trying to help someone else..

Keep crying about the struggle of the black man on a public forum with crackers and trolls. Keep making these threads. See how that turns out for you
