How Do You People In Romantic Relationships With White Folks..

This topic is the exact reason I've never been able to get into a relationship with a white woman. Cause at some point when issues like this come up I know they can't fully relate to me or my experiences in this country and it always creates an emotional divide.

I don't care what folks do but I just wanna say relatability is huge when it comes to relationships. Hell I've even dated mixed girls who didn't have black moms and there were slight cultural differences I had to adjust to. Not dealbreakers but them differences were there. I could only imagine dating a white chick and she couldn't even understand the scrutiny of being a minority.

IMO, given the world we live in, if ur gonna date outside of ur race/culture....discussions are par for the course just so you can understand each other point of view on Just my opinion, but hey....

This is the number one reason I wouldn't date outside my race. If my girl said the wrong thing about the situation I would break up immediately with her. Idk how some of you in this thread can be ok with your partner not caring about black issues.

Don't really see it as an issue, spoke about a lot of things to do with race and I told her that I don't feel comfortable going to certain places like Australia and even the US cause the favor is against me more than her, told her how she could get away with certain things and I can't, I aint getting myself in that shyt. She understands and there hasn't been a moment where I felt uncomfortable being black around her.

I'm not who this question is directed towards but I've "Third-Wheeled" a few times around my families(Cousins & Uncles) interracial relationships & I've noticed that 9 times out of 10 ONE of the people somewhat worships the others culture in someway.​

A White dude humpin a Black chick on the regular can be either a case of "The white dude loves the CocoPuff SOOoo much he dives face first into concern for racial sh#t that negatively effects Black people Plus he'll come to the defense of our struggles" OR "The black chick is on some Valley-girl tip & despises Everything Black attached; I'm talkin Police Bernie Mac I HATE MY GUN CAUSE IT'S BLACK type sh#t".

...You see, usually one of the two goes to the extreme about finding a nice comfy seat in the audience of their significant other's culture. At least that's what my personal "Damn, I'm Lonely" research data has shown.​

Deal with situations like the Ferguson unrest? Just curious about the perspective of Blacks in interracial relationships and if issues like this cause any extra stress or tension with your spouse...

When I go home everyday from work I have a Black woman I can vent my frustrations and concerns to and I know that she "gets it"..

Do you address these issues in a real way and have a sympathetic ear you can depend on?

I only seriously dated one white girl in college and she was more liberal than I am and I'm pretty liberal. If we were still dating now she'd be go harder about this issue than I am and would be informing me . Came from a family of public defenders, progressive ass teachers and civil rights advocates.

I used to sit back in those classroom discussions as she told people about their subconscious bias like
