How good/bad was Nas' I Am...

Sometimes I feel it wasn't much better than Nastradamus. It has like three or four truly great tracks like NY State of Mind II, Undying Love and Nas Is Like in particular.

But there is just as much garbage on that album as Nastradamus and I'd argue Nastradamus doesn't even have many truly awful tracks. Big Girl might be the worst track he ever made and I can't fukk with New World but beyond that there's not much I HATE on there. The problem with Nastradamus is the plethora of mediocre tracks

Don't get me wrong I Am... is better but not my much. Those Trackmasters and L.E.S. beats ain't aged well

NYSOMII, Hate Me Now, Nas Is Like & Undying Love are bangers. Dr. Knockboot is in the running for worst Nas song imo.

Rest was ranging from mediocre to good. I'd say a 3/5 album

You're bugging album isn't classic or anything but it had a few classic songs and was solid top to bottom and a good blend of Illmatic and It Was Written.

Nas is Like, Hate Me Now, NYSOM 2, Undying Love are classic Nasir songs...

You've got the highly underrated Small World, collabs with Face/DMX/Aaliyah, dropping gems on Dr. Knockboot dope fun concept record with a funky beat, a great intro with scratching and sampling of Nas records by Premo and shyt talking from Jungle.

4 Mics. Better than Vol 3, Then There Was X, Melvin Flynt, Immobilarity, Blackout, Nikka Please, Puff's album, Ja Rule's album all released in '99 but not better than Mos, The Roots and Mobb Deep just as far as East releases go.

It was really bad. The handful of good songs are worthy but it was only like 5. And I'd only really say Nas Is Like is great.

I kinda agree looking back now that it is about same quality as Nastradomus. I Am is a tad better due solely on the fact it had NYSOMII and Hate Me Now and Nas Is Like.

Rest of the album was mediocre for me and the beats outside of the tracks I mentioned were pretty bad...
