Deck still ill, a friend of mine did a track with Deck a year or 2 back and Deck slaughtered it, ill MC. Always been a Deck fan, still check for P too because he still drops some gems every now and then.

Murda Muzik was prodigy at his absolute apex imo. every verse he spit on that album was some out of this world shyt. i dont even listen to that album, as much as I just fast forward to all his verses.

prodigy legit had a small window where he was the illest nikka from queens spitting. including nas.

the fall-off didnt start until HNIC/post-HNIC.

a lot of people blame jay z. i always thought it was because he had to up his output as a solo artist and couldnt maintain the quality.

I have to disagree with you. He was good on The Infamous, but on HOE he was just in a whole other zone. No verse that he spit on Murda Muzik can compare to that second verse on Front Lines or his verse on Apostle's Warning. The only memorable P verse I can remember from that album is his verse on Allustrious, but I haven't listened to that album in a while. MM wasn't that good from what I remember.

It was a good verse but not on the level of the songs I named.

Well it wasn't in my opinion. The Infamous and HOE were way better.
:yeshrug:I think Quiet Storm solidified him as one of the illest to ever do it. But those verses on HOE were flat out phenomenal...so I see where you're coming from.

The Infamous and HOE were way better than MM. But The Infamous is the greatest album of all time and HOE isn't far behind it. MM was an excellent album in its own right. Best of 99. But it does pale in comparison. :manny:

I don't know if I would say The Infamous is the greatest rap album ever but it's definitely top 10. Havoc is a great producer but an underrated rapper too in my opinion. He washed P on a few tracks before.

say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?

allustrious. quiet storm (nikka single-handedly started the "extra long chain" phase with half a bar). where ya heart at. what's ya poison. murda muzik. where u from. adrenaline (featuring a top 10 all-time P verse).

i could go on and on.

as a lyricist, p was phenomenal on HOE. he took that shyt to another level on MM. it's the perfect balance of lyrical p and the "throw a tv at u" crazy-talk P that would pop up later.

"it makes u sick/to hear the mobb bang like this/infamous for the world to hate or play this/could give a fukk if u cant rock to this/my dunn's heads bop to this" :whoo:

"Im not blowin off rounds/so you can hear sounds/so u can run back actin like u a vet/and swear on ya dead, u survived some real shyt..." :scust:

p was weak on MM??? :mjlol:

Swagger Like Us is on Tres Leches level tho. dont let nostalgia fool ya.

Fam...Its really not..

There is no debating who got the best verse on Swagger like US...Which was tip...Convincingly

When you can debate high caliber verses and people all have different choices, that's a classic posse cut..

like fantastic 4, etc
