i dont know but since they took it there.

this isnt the 1st time i saw somebody refer to kriss kross as ABC clones on here. when i asked that person to explain themselves in the other thread, they abruptly dissappeared. i assume that process will be repeated in this thread.

Kris Kross had a 3rd album? :wtf:

and you listened to it? :russ:

I think I remember it. They had that semi-hit Tonights the Night that was on the radio and MTV quite a bit in 1996

Had Redman on the remix

Kriss Kross had their time and to be honest with you, none of their albums were wack. They were all well put together. To me their is no shame in a young hip hop fan enjoying their music.

that's what it comes down to though. cats were little kids when they were popular. obviously we were all young once, but I'm not gonna front like older heads were into those Chipmunks tapes I used to listen to

That was me Wacky (at least in this thread). IR said he thought it was Illegal. I could be wrong about the whole thing. I thought JD was trying to capitalize off the popularity of kids groups. I'll defer to whatever you guys say is right. ABC/Kriss Kross is outside of my comfort zone.

Muggs does claim they stole the idea for Jump from him.

Now that I think about it... @Wacky D jumped into the thread out of nowhere and took to defending Kriss Kross against my baseless accusations. Blame him :manny:

:childplease: keep it real kid.

yall were already arguing about that before i came in here with my 1 post.

and wacky has nothin to do with this. come at me. runny-ray the don.

whats wrong with that? is ABC supposed to be the only kids rap group ever? by that logic, we wouldnt have genres. there would be just 1 rapper, 1 soul singer, 1 rock group, 1 country quartet, etc etc.

and like dudey said, ABC wasnt even a str8 up rap group. they were an r&b/rap hybrid. basically BBD for kids.

kriss kross was the first full-fledged kids rap group actually.

nobody is insinuating that theyre a goat group or anything.

the bottom line is, their releases were of actual quality.

and "tonights the night" was no kiddie record and it was something like a big hit in '96. just say you gave them the cold shoulder and keep it movin.

it was not a "big hit" in 96. I was in the club 6 nights a week in 96. I don't even remember that song

1996 and they were using that same Faze O sample? :comeon:

Record sales don't matter. Nas has a loyal base of fans who list him as their favorite rapper. Nobody says Pac is their favorite and never will - minus a few people. .

:laff: i swear to god u guys aren't real people man

i need to step outside, its to early for this shyt :dead:

EPMD - Please Listen To My Demo - YouTube

read my post again.

keywords: something like a big hit.

bottom line: youre clowning the fact that people listened to their 3rd album, but all they stuff was quality, 3rd joint wasnt kiddie(i dont even recall the 2nd one being such), and they went out on a good note.
