These graphics are amazing to me. The lighting effects are just :noah:. The gameplay look much refined over Infamous 1 but I never really played Infamous 2 so I can't speak to how it compares to that. Either way, it looks really good. I'm looking forward to reading reviews.

infamous 2 had more precise and smoothier gameplay than part 1...it improved on what was in 1...if this plays like like infamous 2, that will be great...

I don't know what it is, but Infamous really does nothing for me. I played the first one on the PS3 and literally turned it off after a few hours. Game was just way too repetitive. This game looks better, but will likely be copped once it hits the bargain bin for me.
Prototype is more of your thing eh? :troll:

In infamous 2 I spent most of my time in combat running in circles and spamming the attack button. Looks like this game will be the same.

if that's what you did, you limited the game for yourself, and that has nothing to do with the devs/gameplay...cause you could do a lot more in infamous 2 than 'running in circles and spamming the attack button'....

people need to stop saying this shyt cause every game is repetitive...it just boils down to whether you have fun or not...you say you didnt, ok...

I disagree. I think there are varying levels of repetitiveness and even if some basic action is fun you may only want to repeat it so many times. For example, more maps in a shooter or more tracks on a racer means more variety - does it not? And there are ways you can make individual maps more varied than just being "different". You can alter how much verticality there is, or how much asymmetry there is, or you can add/remove key features like snipers nests, camping spots and chokepoints. And I'm just talking about maps in shooters. I'm not talking about adding mechanics, I'm not talking about different genres. There are so many ways to add variety that to say every game is repetitive is reductive and really... it's bullshyt.

Not really. That's what the combat consists of. That's exactly what dude did in the video in the op.

are you talking about user created maps or the shyt the devs make?...either way, i disagree...how you play a game doesnt equate to repetitiveness of gameplay....cause yea, you can vary how you play a game, change things in the game to vary situations, etc., but it still boils down to doing the same shyt to continue in a game...using your shooter game for example: isnt the goal to shoot/kill everyone so you can advance?....now, like i said, you can vary how you do that in the game with the different weapons, approaches, map layouts, etc., but in the end it's still the same shyt, is it not?....so whether you enjoy that game or not would be determined if you enjoyed doing that over and over, correct?....

talking about infamous: him saying it was repetitive as a reason it wasnt fun, just didnt seem like a valid reason to me...because yea, beating your enemies with powers is the basis of the game, but there were so many ways to conplete that objective in the game it didnt get 'repetitive' in that regard...it would be like your shooter analogy...

*disclaimer - i'm not saying he has to enjoy the game, he plays for himself, so if he didnt like it, cool...i just dont buy the repetitive excuse*
