How is it possible Nas could've mad an album as bad as Nasir?

Nope. But what Nas was spittin, specifically the last verse, the effects of the pages flipping, the laid back, hypnotic beat, him asking why ALC was laughing. All of that made it a great song.

Nothing special. Wouldn’t make my personal list of the best Nas jawns.

Not even one of the best songs on the album.

Not just the concept

Basically all of this

Can’t see how you can criticize Alchemist beat as boring on it when “Simple Things” on Nasir has the most sleepy, slow tempo with Nas rapping reallllllly slow and simplistic.

The difference between Nas rapping on God’s Son and Nasir is clear as day

Nas more than likely phoned in half his verses just to make Kanye’s deadline so he can get out of his Def Jam contract.

The production on Simple Things is crazy. If anything it’s too short

Would love to hear a Face verse on that record.

Production isn’t Nasir’s weak point at all

The production is fine on Nasir for the most part.

The problem is that it doesn’t sound like a Nas album. It sounds like Kanye featuring Nas, with Nas mailing it in on at least 3 songs

God's Son- Get Down, Made You Look, Last Real nikka Alive, Mastermind, Book of Rhymes, Heaven

Street's Disciple- this isn't better than Nasir

HHID- this isn't better either

Life Is Good- No Introduction, Locomotive, Queen's Story, World's An Addiction (better executed than "Everything"), You Wouldn't Understand, Stay, Cherry Wine, Bye Baby, Black Bond, Rose's, Where's The Love, Trust

World is an Addiction is mixed horribly. It sounds terrible in a decent pair of headphones or your whip. It’s way too much going on with the beat and Anthony Hamilton’s vocals.

Nothing about you wouldn’t understand stands out to me? What about this record is dope? The production is average. The content is cool but it’s nothint special.

I feel the exact same way about Where is the Love and Black Bond

Nas’ last couple albums I genuinely felt, pre Nasir, was actually God Son and Untitled and I don’t think their respective highs is better... only because they were surrounded by filler.

Nasir has augbly one bad song (everything) and one average jawn (cops the shot kid)

Anyways.. here I have it scored

Get Down
Made you look
Warrior Song
Thugs Mansion
Heaven
The Cross
Dance

Untitled

Untitled (slave & master)
Make the world go round
Testify
Queens get the money
Fried Chicken
Sly Fox
America

SD

War
Disciple
Live Now
Just a moment
Seku Story
UBR
Theif’s Theme

Life is Good

I mostly listen to music on headphones. "World's An Addiction" is mixed better than any song on Nasir. Better song than anything on that album as well.

"You Wouldn't Understand" is a nice, feel good, Summer vibe song.

"Where Is The Love" is something special. He says more in that one song than the entirety of Nasir. "Black Blond" is a fly record about living the life, but very detailed. Better executed than "White Label".

How is it better executed when it’s unlistenable? I’ll never revisit Black Bond again. Nothing about that jawn has any replay value to me. A fly record to me is number one stunna or Got yourself...(a gun)

Where is the love.. see my perspective on Black Bond..

White Label is hard.. and we completely disagree on Worlds an Addiction.. that jawn sounds terrible to me.

It damn sure doesn’t sound better than Not for radio, Bonjur, white Label, Adam and Eve, of simple things

Sly Fox is one of the worst beats Nas has rhymed on. shyt sounds like Scott Storch meets Korn. And World is an Addiction is one of his worst songs period.

From the tracks listed as good in here I’ve noticed that as long as Nas records a tune that sounds like traditional rap, no matter how unremarkable, its used to bolster these trash albums he releases.

I can understand the criticism of Sly Fox but he killed it
