As far as the OP, KD's just had shyt luck post GS. Hitched his wagon to supremely talented but out of shape & constantly injured weirdos on my Nets and a ultra flawed team in Phoenix. Prime KD's not saving this ship, at best you get the Thunder teams again and early exits. They just made rash decisions and now have to tear it down, the Beal trade killed any potential. Not to mention Booker being a Player 2, possibly 3 when they needed him to step up to at least 1B

The team is just horribly constructed without an identity, KD's still doing his job. I'm not really sure how much blame he can/should realistically get.

in the world of hot take culture, we always need to place a blame somewhere to push our narratives. the reality is that the roster is fukking AWFUL, beal is the worst contract in the nba & booker took a huge step back. imagine watching a suns game and your conclusion is that KD is the reason that theyre awful. i said from jump that the suns are completely FINISHED the minute they made that trade for bum ass bradley beal.

Prime KD also gave you better defense than Melo could because of his height and wingspan.

I like Melo but KD was a better player.

I agree he's a better player, i just think Melo would be able to win a ring if he played with the 73 win warriors too. and would've gotten to the final if he had harden and westbrook on his team for the early part of his career.

At a point in the season 40% of their rotation was nikkas that could not function together . Nurkic/Beal/Booker/Jones…Nurkic is out but you still have 3 guards that cannot fit together . It’s gotten so bad that Collin Gillipisie or whatever is starting because he’s fine with getting off ball and getting his points off in the flow of the offense ..They give looks at Bol Bol is search of a spark…That’s how terrible that roster is .

The fact that KD’s game has fit seamlessly amongst that trash is a testament to his greatness

Exactly KD was in the western conference finals almost every year with OKC but now he a bus rider lmao took his team to the finals at l 23 but he a bus rider lmao. These mfs are unserious af the only time they missed the western conference finals when he was in okc was when mfs got injured. He was up 3-1 on the warriors with literally no shooters on his team partly injured and having ibaka hurt as well. Best player on those warriors teams but somehow they fraudulent rings he didn’t earn
