In our society (and others) "nikkas" have always been viewed as less than human.
No one in their right mind should want to be or find comfort in being a "nikka".
...and if it's too late to quash the word as some suggest, we need to embrace it applying to everyone and pray the link between it and people who looks like us fades over time.

I watched the second clip in full.
Started to say how people are still avoiding the fact that the shyt is not JUST meant in all this love and endearment people proclaim.
It was honestly disappointing to hear him repeatedly stress how he 'knows' they don't mean it in a bad way....
then the camera panned out to majority non black students 
Apparently black people reclaimed it and made it ours..so now instead of whites and such insulting and degrading us we chose to do it to ourselves..

Like I said the only way to take the "power" out of it is for us to collectively stop using any variation of it (I say this as someone who whole trying to stop still uses it at times). Easier said than done...there's no real difference between the A and the Er because Southern crackers used the A version anyway

words evolve all the time based on changes in the cultural zeitgeist…it’s an intergral function of language…words also have multiple meanings…
we don’t use nikka the way racist people use ni99er…
the argument that nikka carries the same negative connotation as ni99er because it’s used with the qualifiers like bytch ass, lame ass, fukk etc. falls apart when you when it’s also commonly used with positive qualifiers like real, dat, rich etc. or in phrases like HNIC…
nikka the way we use is a nuetral word that takes on the connotation of its qualifiers or the context it’s used in…
