Answer: It is a White man's word. That's they shyt. Let them have it.

Y'all need to go ahead and stop using it

Don't listen to music that refers to you as such

Stop dehumanizing yourself

Any other group would have long sued these race artists to hell..

Yeah...other groups guard themselves better.

You can't say "spaz" in a song because disabled ppl will get on your case

You can't say you're "getting money like a Jew" cause they'll get on your case

You can't say "f*ggot" cause they'll get on your case

I remember a time when women were fighting being called "bytch" in music...I guess they gave up.

Just like it seems we've given up on the N-word.

We gotta keep fighting, though. If the word is bad, it's bad. Get it tfoh.

^^^^^^^Y'all see how the word is always associated with negativity??

It's always "lame ass nikkaz"
"Dumb ass nikkaz"
"Stupid ass nikkaz"
"B1tch ass nikkaz"
"H0e ass nikkaz"
"Puzzy nikkas"

Even the posters that are gonna come in this thread talking bout "n1gga please" are using the word out of anger/disdain

Always something negative and degrading.....never positive.

The first word that we reach for when we get upset with another black person is "n1gga".

The Nword devalues black people.....in the eyes of black people.

But I'm out this thread, all these types of threads do is depress me by showing me how backwards we are.

Good luck OP
you’ve never heard it as a greeting?

Like I said before the word was all good to say when yall were younger but now that yall in your 30s and 40s yall wanna act like your parents. It ain't gonna go away because some angry out of touch men on a message board are venting. Yall should have listened to the old heads when yall were younger but no yall wanted to listen to 50 cent and lil Wayne and 2 pac say it 50 times in a song and thought it was cool

Yeah...they mean different things, though
When europeans created that classification; what do you think their intentions were? Positive?

It was a classification that was evil and xenophobic from its inception. They had engagements with India and didn't call them black at the time.
They saw an opportunity to subjugate africans and the way they were able to sleep at night without guilt is by using black and white to distinguish between the haves and have nots, racially.

It was as disrespectful of a term as ******.

That being said, it is something I am proud to call myself; black. I understand the origin but it is important for unity and survival to know what bonds us.

I also use the word nikka. The word literally follows the same exact trajectory as black. Am I a ******? No.

Do I use nikka as meaning black man? No. It is a word in my vernacular that I use like any other adult word.

Howard Stern of all people :mjpls: had a bit on the n-word years ago and asked why Black people used it because he said Jewish people didn't greet each other with the k-word because they respect each other too much.

So it would be ridiculous for them to use it.

Also no other group on earth calls each other racial slurs (or modified versions of them) like Black people do or elevates them to such a ridiculous degree in their entertainment.

And the use of it comes from a place of self hatred as others have noticed because of the venom that's attached to it when used for another Black person.

And why those same people get upset when non-Blacks use it (Because don't they say it's a term of endearment?) :mjpls:

Because they know it's trash.

So boost racial self esteem and the slur (and others) will naturally stop getting used.

Again with the obfuscation, it's not "just a term" because not everyone is allowed to use it without being judged by others.

If n*gga is just a term and it also isn't the same thing as the word "n*gger" then why is it that non-Black people aren't allowed to say it?

because they’re not black…it’s literally that simple…

being a part of a group grants you privileges that out-group members don’t have, this is not a new concept…

black people can talk about the crash dummies terrorizing our communities or the c00ns lusting after cacs without regard for offending or being viewed as racist because we’re a part of the same group (black people)

if cacs were to levy the same criticisms they’re always going to be looked at as racist because they don’t belong to our group…

same concept applies to nikka…we as black people can use it however we please because it’s our word…that privilege doesn’t extend to anyone else…

When did a word assigned to us by white people become ours?
