Good stuff OP.

I've come to where I don't trust any black person who can't talk without using the Nword.

I've come to realize that most black people who use that word profusely have a subconscious DISDAIN for black people and that word is a REFLECTION of the self-hatred.

I feel an automatic kinship with black people who don't use that word

If you can't refer to other black people as "brutha" or "sista" then you have to look at yourself an ask why?

Ill tell you why:. There's a positive energy behind "brother" , "sista" and other similar words.. meanwhile there's a negative energy behind the word "n1gga" and because of your own disdain for other black people, your spirit won't allow you to refer to other black people in a positive manner, hence why I'm extremely cautious around black people who use the Nword........it's rooted in self-hatred.

It's a word white people assigned to Black people to dehumanize them, it's their word and there isn't any way around that fact, evidenced by our collective delusion concerning the word. We really been out here seriously believing that there's a difference between n*gga and n*gger, completely ignoring that everyone from the south pronounces words that end in "er" with an "a". If there is a difference, it's in the accent of the person saying it.

Black People sound no different than KKKLANSMEN themselves when they use that word towards each other

Just listen to how much hatred is behind the word in this clip:

Dude literally sounds like the Grand Wizard of the KKK. :scust:

Y'all sound like pure fools when y'all say "term of endearment'. :scust:

"kumbaya my lord" is "come by here, my lord". slaves mispronounced it often because they were still grasping english. "ni66ger" being "nikka" is the same story.

for almost half 1000 years, black people have been called and call themselves a variation of ni66er. i dont think one user on an internet forum is changing that. i've confined the word to thecoli.com. i dont say it anywhere else and dont associate with people that do

Obligatory “nikka, please.”

I don’t use the word egregiously, but I don’t judge people who do either.

It’s an easy way for black people to high horse other black folks. The arguments can be valid; it is derogatory term.

However, acting like people are stupid or can’t figure out context is disingenuous. Like it or not, there’s a clear difference when black folks use it with each other and other races using it as an insult. If you refuse to acknowledge that, you’re being ignorant (ironically).

It is also very silly when the argument is we need to stop using it so other people can respect us, as if we aren’t entitled to respect anyway. Black people are the only people who are told to police themselves in order to gain the respect given to other people for simply existing. At the end of the day, black people have earned the agency to speak as we want. Hate it or love it.

People act like retards on the matter.

Forget ownership of the word and focus on the intent.

When a black person calls another black person the N word, what do you think is meant?

Compare that to other races. At best, they're showing flagrant disrespect. There is no two ways about it.

People can come up with whatever argument they want. The fact remains is that it is a matter of respect and what people are communicating.

I’m tired of you lame ass nikkas

^^^^^^^Y'all see how the word is always associated with negativity??

It's always "lame ass nikkaz"
"Dumb ass nikkaz"
"Stupid ass nikkaz"
"B1tch ass nikkaz"
"H0e ass nikkaz"
"Puzzy nikkas"

Even the posters that are gonna come in this thread talking bout "n1gga please" are using the word out of anger/disdain

Always something negative and degrading.....never positive.

The first word that we reach for when we get upset with another black person is "n1gga".

The Nword devalues black people.....in the eyes of black people.

But I'm out this thread, all these types of threads do is depress me by showing me how backwards we are.

Good luck OP

I stopped using the word in the early 2000s because I couldn’t find any evidence that we really took back the word and turned it into a positive. Seems like we created this as a revisionist talking point once the word became commercialized.

I don’t get upset when my fellow brothers and sisters use it, but I just reached a point where I couldn’t find a good reason for continuing to use it.

As I’ve previously mentioned, there are black people who will “brotha” and “sista” and “king” and “queen” you til death and scam you in the same breath.

There are also black folks who will “nikka” you until the cows come home who would give you the shirt off their back and make you a hot meal if you were hungry.

You would write off the latter because of how they choose to speak. That’s ignorance.

Clown talk.

Black people use that word with just as much hate and disrespect as the white man.

And don't forget that white men used to as a term of endearment too..."Lil Jimmy...that's my n*gger. he's a good n*gger ain't he?..."

not because of how they "choose to speak", that framing obfuscates what's actually happening which is, regardless of intent, the word is both derogatory and dehumanizing. If the only thing that matters is intent, then can you explain why it's a problem when non-Black people use the term?

It seems as though you are committed to playing dumb.
