He has Lebronesque physical potential.

Not really. He's more like Larry Johnson. An undersized 4 with great athleticism.

LeBron James athletically is a glitch in the Matrix. He was much faster, quicker, stronger, and could jump higher than this kid.

High school LeBron is actually my favorite LeBron cause he wasn't as bulky as he is now. He was a lot more fluid of an athlete.

Zion is quicker, better handles and is a superior jumper than James. I don't see the vision or passing from Zion that James had but Zion seems to feel the game well like a lot of prep school players but you, he's actually extremely athletic and huge. He's not as big as senior LeBron but Zion doesn't go to a school with a legit weight room like James did. James played Football while Zion doesn't

nikkas said the same thing about Bron. I remember dudes hating on Bron hard as hell, saying he would be a bust, that he was overrated/hyped. That's the reason Bron got all these haters now. nikkas was mad that a high schooler was getting all that fame and praise and hated him from the beginning.

I gotta see Zion do more than be big and dunk though. Lebron was threading sick passes, making a lot of threes, beating national powerhouses...what has Zion done so far?

The game that told me Lebron was the surest thing ever was the one against national #1 Oak Hill Academy. Taking his group of hometown friends he grew up with against a freaking national juggernaut that had D1 prospects coming off the bench, and he single-handedly destroyed them. 31-13-6 in a 65-45 blowout win.

The Westchester game was sick too...another juggernaut that pulls recruits from all over, #7 in the nation. and Lebron hangs 52 on their ass, 21-34 from the field and 6-9 from three. St. Mary's wins 78-52....so Lebron was out there pacing Westchester's entire team himself.

The 6-foot-8 swingman would have single-handedly outscored Westchester had Comet reserve guard Andre Dunn not converted a late three-pointer.

"There was nothing we could do," said forward Trevor Ariza, one of six Westchester players who alternated in a futile attempt to contain James. "We contended his shots, he knocked them down. We double-teamed him, he found the open man."

Said Westchester Coach Ed Azzam: "We could have put three guys on him and he would have hit those shots."

James Is Too Much for Westchester

I remember one guy saying, "People are exaggerating his passing skills - he isn't doing anything that any college forward can't do."

Then ends up playing point in the NBA like he belongs there as a freaking 18-year-old and becoming one of the greatest passers in NBA history. :mjlol:

other than the fact that zion makes teenagers his age look like children physically, i dont see how the comparison to lebron fits.

the only skill lebron couldn't consistently dial up back then was his J. every other part of his game was literally NBA ready in high school.

zion's game is gonna need a lot of work if he's going to play on the perimeter at the next level. right now he's more like this generation's charles barkley/larry johnson: short for a frontcourt player, but his height is negated by elite, freakish athleticism and enough skill to get in the paint and do whatever he wants.
