Yanis and the Process are the youngest "stars" in the league, they're all potential vs accomplishment.

Kawhi already has a ring and FMVP under his belt, soon to be 3 straight DPOY awards :whew:

Doesnt say anything incendiary, doesnt get into trouble, doesnt do any cute shyt

Cant really tell him nothin :yeshrug:

They will find something breh. TRUST ME. I'm indifferent to Kawhi.

The fact that it took people this long to start seriously considering him in the MVP race shows to me that people still haven't even come around to him in the first place. James Harden is leading his team to a worse record while playing no defense and yet he's by far the favorite over Kawhi, who's led his team to a better record while playing DPOY caliber defense and scoring 25+ ppg with a top 5 in the league PER. And he already has more rings and finals MVPs than him or Westbrook. Kawhi should have been the favorite from day 1, and I'm not even a big fan of him, he wins more than anyone currently in the race and puts up stats nearly as pretty and defense light years better than anyone else in contention. More people have to realize this before they can turn on him to begin with.

I consider myself a hater of many, but for some reason the Spurs and Grizzlies are the two teams i could never hate on.

low key im shocked this guy has a girl, or a life outside basketball

when i read that article bout him, where he jus randomly carries a basketball with him everywhere he goes incase he wanna ball :dead:

Thats not the most shocking thing about it.

She actually gave birth to their first child last year. I could've sworn this nikka was asexual :skip:

But really why would you turn on him? The man barely talks:gucci:

Westbrook doesn't talk and people turned on him because they don't like the way he plays. All Westbrook ever talks about is wanting to compete, trying his hardest, and wanting to win a championship. He no sold the Durant shyt from the media. No doesn't talk about his triple doubles. He doesn't even talk about his numbers, he legit just says he wants to win, but people get at him because he's trying to average a triple double.

Aight hold up.... see I dont like what this thread is turning into:jbhmm:. So does this mean Kawhi is above all criticism for the rest of his career no matter what, just because he works hard/plays hard?

WHat exactly do we mean by "turn on" Kawhi? Does this mean hate on him as a person, or does it mean to potentially judge him on his failures that he may face down the road?

We got dudes in here talkin bout " he never talks, how could you turn on him?".... but what does him not talking have to do with avoiding any future criticism for his ability or inability to lead his team to victories? He's still got to prove himself like every other all time great did... and that will come with facing some criticism at some point.

This is why i dont like crowning guys early. It just sets them up to get killed when they don't accomplish the things that everyone swore they would. Kawhi is a nice player and is very likeable. but if the spurs have a repeat of 2016 every year for the next four to six years for example, then guess what? People are gonna "turn" on him no matter how quiet he is, its just facts.

Nobody is saying Kawhi is above criticism. Im excited to see what he does in May and June with all eyes on him

Me, myself im just saying people need to be fair and rationale with the criticism or what you hold against him. All that reaching and nitpicking shyt can :camby:

Im just here to call out any bullshyt and unfair slander towards dude:ufdup:

Like people trying to blame Kawhi for last year against a squad with 2 top 5 players with a supporting cast of :flabbynsick: around him

So yeah put the lights on him but im riding on you nikkas like :bustback:

You thought LeBron and Kobe stans were bad?:jawalrus:

Guys get turned on when they start getting hyped past what people think they deserve.

I haven't seen that with Kawhi. He's slowly moving from "underappreciated" to "correctly appreciated".

Before this season started, people were saying stupid shyt like that Kawhi was a "B-level" player and crap like that, when he was clearly a top-5 MVP candidate.

Now, if Kawhi becomes the consensus MVP, when a lot of people don't think he deserves it yet, THAT'S when he'll really get turned on. Or if he starts getting talked about like an all-time great when he hasn't proven it yet. Especially if he disappoints in the playoffs for the 3rd year in a row.

I think he fairly should be #2 or #3 as an MVP candidate, somewhere in the top-5 when talking about the best players in the game (Lebron-Durant-Kawhi-Harden-Curry). That's the lane he in.
