"you can finesse a beat maker but not a producer duuuuuuhhhh"

Calling yourself a cute synonym can't save you.
A lot of "producers" don't even make beats.

:what: be a p*ssy and a retard brehs

that's the point you dunce cap

producers do so much more than just make a beat you can't fukk them over like that

beat makers just send a beat and that's it, it's easy to play games with them

It's never gonna stop. There's more supply than demand, beat wise. Everyone produces these days and most of them are just looking for placements and shout outs. That's what they're focused on. From their perspective they'd rather say yes immediately and get the beat sold than risk getting lawyers and royalties involved. The rapper can just find another producer if you tripping about percentages.

Most feel like even if you only get paid $500 on a beat that ends up becoming a smash hit, that placement can make them way more money by attracting other rappers to buy their beats.

Being ripped off means we agree on a certain price then i don't pay you that price. Or you send me a beat tape for me to choose and i hire someone to remake one.

If we agree on a price and i pay you that exact price, how are you getting ripped off? If you felt your beat was worth more, why did you agree to sell it so cheap? This is like a dude fukking a girl and then she regrets afterwards cause he won't take her out on dates so she claims rape.

A lot of them finesse themselves...you can't actually expect an up and coming rapper to pay for beats when it's so many beatmakers out here that want to be on, who'll give free beats away just to gain some clout

On the flip side I think more beatmakers should go back to actually linking up with these rappers, and booking time to play and sell their beats in person, instead of just e-mailing a bunch of beats or putting them up on YouTube for people to steal
