Detroit has been terrible for years. Gave villanueva a huge deal, ben gordon too. After those deals are almost done he puts together a weird lineup. And he also wanted to move expiring's for Rudy Gay's contract. At best he accidentally lucks into a good lottery pick. Or they get bounced in the first round. He's lucky they won the championship after picking Darko over Melo.

That Darko pick was not his pick, he was forced to use money on Charlie V and Gordon (there is a minimum cap and the Pistons had money to spend, he overpaid but it had to be spent), I don't know where this TERRIBLE stuff comes from, he's made bad moves like any GM but this team is vastly better than they were two years ago, it's a new team, takes time to come together. I would at least give him this year and next year

He had to spend money so he had to give that bum Charlie v 35 mill and a short sg 50 mill even though they already had 2 sg.

Dumas shoulda been fired when gores took over, then he for sure shoulda been gone after that debacle last year.

I was riding with him 100% until the Smith signing, I'm still on board but it's hard to defend him on that.

Had to spend that money? Couldn't trade for someone? Get a overpaid player from a team looking to dump payroll, with a pick for their trouble. That's what a smart gm would have done. Or if he wanted to be dumb and sign someone, why not just for one year or two?

Jennings is taking 18 shots a game and shooting 38%, dude is a terrible PG IMO.


They could survive the Smith signing if they had stronger guard play, but getting Jennings was just a massive mistake when you combine him with Smith. They need to tank this year and pray they get Wiggins or Parker, while KCP will be solid he's going to be one of those 3 & D guys that isn't really dynamic on offense.
