I agree Josh was overpaid by Detroit, but there is a method to the madness. Josh has already put up #s as a piston that hasn't been achieved since Wilt played the game. I'm not mad at that contract based on the potential of Mr. Smith.

Honestly, the problem isn't ALL Josh with the Pistons. Josh Smith isn't a SF. Detroit fans will come to see that. He can play the position in a few spot situations but him mostly playing at the 3 pretty much goes against Josh's ability to be a good to great post player. There will be games where Josh put up great numbers and hit shots from deep, but those games are usually few and far between because his mid-range game just isn't one of his strengths. Combine that with Detriot having two inefficient chucker's in Jennings and Stucky, the makeup of that team screams inconsistent offense.

At this point in his career he should be making the minimum and playing 15 minutes a night as a spot up shooter on a championship team.

You are not a pistons fan. Drummond has ZERO offensive game. If its not off a pick and roll it's not happening.

Monroe is still here because he can actually score. I love Drummond but its put backs and dump offs.

Jennings is a chucker, we all know this but Billups is DONE.

That's too much for Jennings, he's a backup in my opinion

I was thinking more so the market for him. I am not a fan of his but 3 years and 8 mil. its not a bad deal, he's a tradeable piece after next year also (teams looking for an expiring deal)

Wasn't me who said it but right now they are last in 3point % and tied for last in ft%. Not a great shooting team with stats like that.

17th in the league in overall shooting %. offense is not the problem with this squad.

Team is efficient in the post but they can't shoot jumpers for shyt.

Dumars has backed them in a corner. Will have to move Monroe and roll with Josh at pf.

Detroit has been terrible for years. Gave villanueva a huge deal, ben gordon too. After those deals are almost done he puts together a weird lineup. And he also wanted to move expiring's for Rudy Gay's contract. At best he accidentally lucks into a good lottery pick. Or they get bounced in the first round. He's lucky they won the championship after picking Darko over Melo.

Even if he picked Melo over Darko, Larry fukking brown would have ruined him too.
