When I studied abroad in Paris, I did look into the cost of moving there permanently. I thought my University had a campus there already so the name recognition would be beneficial to me. I spoke enough French, why not:yeshrug:

I live in London and socially and politically its far better than whats going on in america with all the outright racism

however economic wise, UK is pretty much in the shytter and I'll be better off financially moving to another country to make a good living.. everything here is expensive as fucc especially housing. paying £800+ for a 2 bedroom apartment, sometimes even a 1 bedroom, which is almost $1100 a month over there

not worth it.. apart from that, the lifestyle here is pretty relaxed and one of the best places to enjoy life if im being honest

but its my goal to live in Japan for a few months and also go back to Nigeria for a while too

And I don't necessarily mean on that "Go back to Africa" tip...I mean move to a place like Canada or the UK.

I know it won't be good for your street cred, but you'd certainly be a lot happier.

Everyday I read on here about how bad everyone has it, White supremacy and racism and all other types of shyt that dominate the American landscape.

Now I'm not saying that shyt doens't happen in Canada or UK, but it isn't even CLOSE to the shyt that happens in America.

Any of y'all actually make the move or have really thought about it?

Already moved....

thought about it all the time

then i think, no friends, no family, no job, no familiarity with the land, laws, people, culture.. not to mention language

having to renounce my american citizenship or end up paying taxes twice (moving does not save you from taxes)

then having to come back 100 times a year to see people

and to top it off, my son lives here

so nah

You'd do well to invest in some properties just outside of London, preferably somewhere that's not more than an hour's drive from London if you choose to live abroad. The Arabs and Chinese are investing in staggering amounts here.
