How much should you have accomplished by 25 years of age?

What was your senior project? That's always a good starting point. Honestly, if you are passionate about it (which I assume you are), there are plenty of side projects you can do that are just as impressive to employees.

For instance, making an app. It doesn't have to be anything special, just something basic. If you are familiar with CoCo you can make a music app using most of the apple app infrastructure (through basic calls). But when they see "created an app" on your resume, they will pull one of these


When I graduated I did some work reverse engineering video games (well 1 game in particular). Every job I've worked in, even network engineering jobs have always asked me about that

besides the obvious, one thing you need to do before you're 25 is travel. take a big trip to another continent and spend some time absorbing different cultures. the world's a big place. once you're past a certain age, it gets harder and harder to commit, get away, or save enough money to do something like this, so go while you're young.

I remember my first apartment, I was throwing chicks out of my apartment who didnt want to leave because the next chick was coming over in 2 hours.Every girl who came to my apartment, I smashed with no hesitation

& also I don't know whether or not you live in a big city but for certain areas it is VERY difficult to just up and move out of your parents crib.

I moved out quite late, 28. I wasnt staying at home that much anyway, my girlfriend at the time had her own place so I was literally staying at hers and my parents house.

If you aint ready financially dont do it, but the joys of having your own place are crazy.Every guy has to have ab opportunity to have a bachelor pad before they have kids/get married. Imagine your girl walking around in nothing but a thong on, playing video games, and cooking half naked.

Nice, I will have to look into CoCo.

For my senior project a group and I are designing a website for some Chemistry professors to simulate 2D and 3D models.

Administering a Linux server and designing my own website from scratch should itself be impressive enough.

Other than that I'll probably just add minor projects/programs from classes on there. So that should be good enough to get my foot in the door for some companies.

I imagine programming 40-50 hours a week must be hell for a person who doesn't like the work itself.
