HR Block is a scamming artist. I know for a fact because I know somebody that manages one and he uses my guy for taxes.

A nikka making 50K with no property isn't going to magically get more money back with an accountant vs. a tax software. If you don't know what the fukk you're doing with the software then yes there will be a difference vs. an accountant. The accountant is going to what pull some numbers from thin air? But yes if you go in a brick and mortar building the H&R people are idiots.

The corporation paying zero...they have scholarship programs, internships, donations to write of their merchandise, etc. They have lobbyist in DC and a platoon of lawyers to finesse the rules...horrible comparison to the average Joe.

exactly what I said. The accountant I have now knows how to deduct my expenses. The first time we met, it took us 4 hours to do the taxes. Then he saved my profile and now it's an easy process for him. I used TUrbotax and put the same deductions he did, all I got was 2k. With him, I got 3.5k.

Again, it's about the softwares too. It's a reason some cost more than others, but you still gotta know what u doing.

I used TurboTax myself the last couple years. This year I finally get to claim my kid but I have to split the head of household sum with my BM.

My cousin has been doing taxes for ppl and told me she could get me more money. I let her adjust my TurboTax and I see she got me an extra $2000. I haven’t filed yet because I see she added some education and scholarship info (1098-T) but I haven’t even been in school this year but I do have my accurate college loan interest info in there

I didn’t submit the return because I already know if possibly asked, I can’t produce a 1098-T form but her and her clients have been finessing the IRS for years
