Exactly! You my friend are a smart consumer. Seriously if you want a laptop that can do what a Macbook can do BUT BETTER and CHEAPER get the Asus G series. Wont regret it. Heck if I wanted to pay that much money for a Laptop, I would get an Alienware, when compared to a Macbook is 10x more better when it comes to what its packing.
I prefer apple because their products are higher quality from finish to software. The gap is closing and I like everything they do from battery life to construction. its hard to beat their value.

You pay a little more, but for the average person, what you get out of having a complete system you don't have to play around with so much is a far better value in my eyes.

Ya'll stay talking down on macs but don't appreciate the user experience.

In 5 years you will have to buy a new PC because yours will be running as fast as a turtle uphill :mjlol:
Your friend will be able to sell that macbook for atleast $1000 if hes keeps it in good condition in 5 years :mjlol:

Really? Cause I had a 2005 HP DV9000t that was still going strong until 2012 when my brother lost it. If you don't know how to take care of your stuff, then of course it won't last long.

Or... are you one of those people who doesn't know that the components in a Macbook are the same components that go into every other laptop. Tell me you're one of those; I love those guys. :mjlol:

Better build quality... probably.
Better battery life? I don't know I haven't used a Macbook at length to compare.

Depends what your goals are.

If you want something that works out of the box, with no hassle or complication I suggest macbooks...in a way I suggest iphones

I get that people want more "control" may slide towards windows but you can't overlook the simplicity that streamlined user experiences bring.

I have a macbook for personal stuff and a windows computer for work and I'd much rather work on the macbook since its so much more streamlined. The windows computers tend to just be slapped together and advertise all these facts and figures without paying attention to execution and workflow.
