Already discussed this with bosses and teams. I don’t just do shyt without trying to cover your ass.
Plus they know they can hit me up day or night and I will be there. I will sleep there if I got to.

It’s more of a military thing. You bust your ass first few years, learn damn near everything (or more than most) for continuity, and you train nikkas?
Yeah, they eventually might be cool if you skate during downtime. Just let them know where you gonna be, what you gonna be doing, and CYA so they can CYA.
But if they know they can rely on you when they need to, or if you make THEM look good, then you get room to do shyt.
If it wasn’t for Trump, they probably would’ve let me work from home on days like this.
Edit: Plus I stay late all the time, usually to hit up gym. They know I don’t have no life outside of work
Just be sitting in the office trying to do their shyt because I already did mines. Plus, I’m more like the meetings guy for them

Same, if I can help it. Last time I called out was when I got the flu which I think was COVID because it put me out for 3 days and the pandemic started almost right after my recovery.

They just let people go because of DOGE so I’m trying to tighten up though

I try to save mines for the snow days. Once I work here long enough I will be taking off once a week. Give myself a 4 day work week

Worked four days, 10-12 hours, with 3 days off on an island
