I used to fail word problems in elementary because I used to think too much and ask too many questions
Sometimes I would get the right answers but use ridiculous logic and go all the way left to make it make sense
I just had to break this down to my nikka lol.

But that $100 was for $70 worth of weed.
So now you give them $70 worth of weed and $30 change, which equals $100.
