Tenacious D on HBO and Mr Show were great. After that he just became the typical stoner comedy bro and got his bag. Can’t blame him for that.
In his defense, he actually put in the work. He started touring with like, circuses or some shyt, when he was a teenager and kinda grinded it out on the underground comedy circuit before catching a break with School of Rock.

School of Rock is a classic.
Shallow Hal was ahead of its time.
He was awesome with Mos Def and Danny Glover in Be Kind Rewind another slept on movie.
