@Tommy Knocks pretty much covered why I love California. I grew up on the east coast...rural northern Virginia. I've been all around the world and I can truly say California has the most "livable" cities...catering to almost every type of people.
The first few years after I moved out here...I would no bullshyt geek out at how beautiful my drive to work was everyday. Snow capped mountains in the distance, palm trees lining almost every street, bright blue skies just about everyday. I wasn't used to shyt like that.
I call San Diego "one big ass resort." It's the most pleasant, scenic, well landscaped city I've ever seen. You can ride on separate bike paths for miles winding around the ocean, lagoons and million dollar waterfront homes. Even though it's a decent sized city..it still has a small town vibe in some aspects. My favorite thing about SoCal are its many choices for beaches. You can go climb a few rocks and be on a picturesque private beach for your pleasure.
Even though LA is a "world class" city...it's really just endless suburbs surrounding a pretty small downtown area. Because it's so spread out...you can get away with a lot
...have a decent amount of privacy compared to other major cities. Almost every ethnic group (and their food
) in the world has some kind of presence in LA. They just don't really fukk with each other.
The Bay Area reminds me of Europe for some reason. Extremely liberal, grafitti everywhere, artsy, progressive vibe. San Francisco is the only Cali city that feels like a real city to me. Very condensed downtown area, practical and well-utilized public transportation, tons of sidewalk traffic.

This is a good point.

Why do people always get hype or put on for California? Like y'all really proud of the state. Nobody else does that and if they do it's their whole city or neighborhood. That shyt is weird to me.

not for money. food.
