Probably different circumstances across different career fields.

For me following that philosophy GREATLY helps with not being involved in any potential fukkery. A lot of my former white co-workers have gone out drinking and gotten involved in bullshyt that later on effected the work environment.

I’m good on ALL that.

Exactly. Sometimes it's good to be in your bboy stance while fukkery commences. I wish folks would realize that work is still a business. While it's ok to mingle, it's not ok to go all out. For instance, my supervisor was having a birthday party at a restaurant, she asked if I was coming. I thought about the following:

  • I'm the only person that doesn't drink within the group
  • She low key can't stand me
  • It's at night which can result in some potential nonsense due to heavy drinking
I just signed her bday card and added some money to the card. Thankfully, I sat it out because she was drunk as all hell and only "her squad" came to the party:mjpls:. I was busy:sas2: while co workers who attended talk about her being wild drunk and etc.
