Revisionist history is a bytch :dead: guys ranking sheed top 5 PF of his era :dead:

Duncan
Kg
Dirk
Webber
J oneal

That is the clear cut top 5 PF list from that era. Lamar Odom was more talented than Sheed for the record too.

Sheed's only flaw was he was a below average rebounder and he didn't want the pressure of being the man put upon him. But talent wise he was up there with them all and could have been as good as Tim if he had the same drive and work ethic as Duncan.

I wish we got to see more of Portland Sheed than Detroit Sheed but Sheed could do it all but was content being a Team Player

He gave Duncan Hell on Defense in their Matchups.

Edit: He also had a great game 7 as a Celtic vs the Lakers
In regards to your edit, yes he did which proves the low iq of celtics fans who blindly follow the Boston media and blame their game 7 loss on the absence of Perkins. They were much better off with Sheed in there, he was more competitive against Gasol and Bynum then Perkins was. But in the end those two were too much and Kobe beasted on the boards in that game 7.

Id have a little more respect for celtic fans if they blamed it on the refs. Gasol shot alotta free throws in that last 4th quarter. But the biggest reason Bumston lost was bcus of Rondo

:salute: to Sheed. When He came to the Celtics, a lot of fans hated on him. Dude was flabby by then but he gave is all during those playoffs and finals.

Talent wise he could have been even greater than what he was. But he never really asserted himself offensively. He had a lot of moves on the block.

:to: a lot of my favorite players growing up, came to the Celtics when they were past their prime. Sheed, Shaq, Payton, Nique.

I never understood how a team shoots 37 free throws in a Game 7 of the finals. Like 20 of those were in the 4th quarter alone.

Easily. Could shoot the ball from deep, had a face up game in the post, huge fukking hands, could play the post, pretty good free throw shooter, great defender, smart defender, tough.

However, the refs hated him so he never got calls, and he didn't give a fukk about censoring himself. He didn't have the work ethic. Talent-wise? There's no doubt in my mind he could've been the GOAT. But the GOATs are the GOATs because they have one-in-a-million-type talent with one-in-a-million-type with work ethic. Kobe has both. MJ has both. Duncan has both. Sheed only had the former.
I wouldn't say work ethic was Rasheed's problem. You can't get the skillset that he got without working your ass off in the offseason. I think he was simply too unselfish and lacked consistent aggression/focus when in game.

Dude was actually overrated. People rate him on his talent and personality more so than his actual production. Dude could've been on par with Duncan or KG but he just flat out didn't want to be. Be 7 foot with a beastly post game and shoot more 3s that FTs every year brehs.
THIS!!!!!!! plus his piss poor attitude towards the officials that earned him a trrouble maker reputation which then led to him getting into more trouble.........
i never understand ballers who constantly go at officials ...NEVER!!!!

Also, LOL @ people saying the refs had it out for Rasheed like he didn't give them every reason possible to dislike him, lol.
