2001 Is so overrated. I don't like half that album, after the next episode I'm good

No, it's not... the shyt literally made the world stop when Still DRE dropped. the most you can say about it, is that it has too many tracks... but it's not overrated by any means.

smh. 2001 is not overrated at all. People rate it as a classic and it is a classic. There are very few albums that you can play straight through and feel every track... that certainly passed the test.

I selected 2005 as the end point because that was the end of their dominance. After 2005 you had a ton of flops starting with Blood Money, Rotten Apple, and followed by a lot of lackluster attempts from 50.

Eminem was able to recapture his success but as I said before he completely went away from anything that I would have listened to previously. I don't blame him for switching up but it is what it is.

this was them at their best right here.

50 beefing with everyone in sight, Banks' Father dying and Buck becoming a fiend basically killed it all before. No reason why they should be at the very least able to get release dates at this stage.

couldn't agree more. I point to this album in general when referring to their prime. Nate Dogg, Yayo, Busta, Dre, Obie, Em, 50, Banks...everybody had their lane

I honestly believe that shyt ruined the real Em...hanging with 50 and thinking he was really about that gangsta shyt destroyed his mindset

exactly i like eminem before he signed 50 cent u could make the arguement that aftermath or shady did'nt even need 50 cent to keep selling records eminem made enuff money to last him forever and dr.dre did'nt need 50 cent either because he had eminem

for me it was 2002 after everything went downhill in terms of quality.

Some good years, and it was fire when I was younger....and epic when tracks like 'We All Die One Day' dropped, I loved that shyt...some good years, some good albums, some bad ones...overall, the whole sound didn't age well, and I rarely revisit a good deal of that material, including the bulk of 50's Aftermath debut, '2001', which I never liked, Games debut, or subsequent releases, I still run throw Obie Trice's first album, that shyt is dope to me still....but, that Aftermath/G-Unit sound was iconic in it's time, I remember when Banks 'On Fire' leaked, and I knew it would be huge that spring/summer....
