I don't live in Atlanta, but one of the reasons I like the south despite racists and one horse redneck towns is the fact that the standard of living is relatively cheap.

150K will get you a nice 3-4 bedroom 2-3 bath home with a garage in a decent community, a nice vehicle, some money for savings, and some money to put in your pocket to spare if you play your cards right.

That's why I prefer the South to places in other regions like Cali, NYC, or Chitown were 150K will basically have you living check to check dang near in poverty.
Where breh
My bad I thought you were saying you could get for 150k, not making 150k a year. I’ll fall back

Damn thats a nice spot. In the DMV that joint would be sitting at $550k at the minimum.:mjcry:

From the outside it seems like a nice apot....most likely in a crime infested neighborhood with a bad school.......good luck making money when you try to sell

Just noticed there are no pics of the interior :russ:

Still a lot of cheap nice houses though. Go up to about 250k. Still very affordable on a 150k salary

What you mean? This depends on so many factors including how many dependencies you have, where you work, your likes and dislikes.

150k really ain’t all that much in Atlanta. You won’t be rolling around in a ferrari with 2 girls blowing you because of it.

the cost of living in Atlanta is not like it is in NY or San Francisco. You could easily buy a 400k (assuming you have good credit) house and have plenty of money left over to live comfortably. You'd definitely be in the upper upper middle class there especially if you live on the outskirts.

Alright I'm logging off for the day:hubie:

I can’t take you nikkas seriously on here :mjlol:

:childplease:

Compared to other big cities, 150K in ATL gets you a hell of a lot more. Just look at the housing market out there compared to LA, SF, NYC, Chi etc.

lol @ all these posts doubting what I'm saying when I'm probably the only person in this thread that makes more than 150K and also happens to live in Atlanta.

Like I said, it greatly depends on your family situation, rather or not you have kids, what you're into, and where you work. Cats in here talking about buying houses on the outskirts, which sounds like a great idea until you factor in your commute to work which is likely to be a bytch if you work in Midtown like me. Want to rent inside the perimeter? You're looking at $1500+ rent for a one bed room. Atlanta is not cheap as it sounds and you'd still be competing with a lot of people with super long bread that will make your 150k look like peanuts out here. As my original post stated, you won't be broke, but you won't be balling outta control like the Big Tymers in their prime. Maybe you would relative to your own current standards, but by Atlanta standards? Nah...
