I'm a Lakers Stan, but D-Fish at #11:mjlol:
.
Nash was mad average to start his career. The GM would get fired for drafting him over Marbury, Allen, Walker, & Camby.

yea. its supposed to be in hindsight tho. not real-time.

for what its worth, I still think nash might be too high, even in retrospect. it all depends on what style of play the grizzlies had, cuz nash is a system legend.
problem is, I never watched a grizzlies game when they were in Vancouver. so I cant call it. but hey, at least he gets to play in Canada.

fisher is the best guard still on the board at that point. and I cant recall who the warriors' PG was at the time.
besides, its not like anybody behind him, is really any better.

Talent wise, McInnis & Chucky are definitely better. Derek landed in the right situation where he could just fill a role. He never stood out for doing anything more than hitting timely/clutch open shots & and playing solid on ball defense.

lol why would you pick derek fisher so high? He was a career role player you dont draft those guys if you have a chance to draft starter. And fisher over shareef? shareef was averaging 20 points in vancouver.. In fact I would pick him over kittles and big z

As a Sixers fan, I'd stay with AI. He's a legend in Philly. For the rest of the draft, I'd trade everyone to get Kobe. Can you imagine Kobe & AI together? Whew.

good point about shareef. I gotta adjust that.

but fisher was more than a roleplayer. he was the heart & soul of the lakers.

:dead: @ the thought of Kobe not going #1.

pound-for-pound, iverson is arguably better than kobe. and he was definitely considered better back in the day. but rings and media conditioning change things in the eyes of the newer fans.

and kobe would be an absolute DISASTER in philly. they wouldn't win chit with him, and he'd be out as soon as his contract ran out. hell, he'd probably force a trade beforehand.
