Asians are notorious for their rote memorization. They got into these tech companies and started mandating that everyone grind leetcode to get in. As other posters mentioned, black folks don't even get an interview but they'll interview any asian immigrant on an H1b that they can and only require that they grind leetcode. Its an entire hustle.
They openly talk about it occasionally:
I feel this is blatant misuse of the work visas. I rarely see anyone in Amazon who joined in recent years who is not on Visa. They are in fact in all types of Visa ( F1 OPT, L1, H1b). In fact in all kinds of roles ranging from TPM, SDE, PM, BA. Is ...

Here they are lying about diversity hires because they are some of the most anti-black people on the planet. Before the affirmitive action ruling, if you read blind for more than 10 minutes you would have saw dozens of threads about them complaining that they can't get hired because of diversity hires (which we all know is a codeword for black; and a gigantic fukking lie, ain't no black people at these companies). They're saying "black people are more likely to get the interview but dont get hired because they aren't skilled" which is bullshyt.
I personally don’t think this is case but curious to hear other opinions especially FAANG companies like Meta who has been trying to appear as more diverse since 2020. I mean in this market, they are not going to cut corners when it comes to the hir...

If you search diversity, you'll find dozens upon dozens of anti-black threads full of asians saying that they cant find a job because of all the "diversity" hires. That magically stopped being a subject for conversation when the AA ruling went through.
If you go to the leetcode subreddit, all the posts are about grinding. They don't even really talk about how to do to the problems, DSA tricks and tips or anything like that. Their mentality is just stfu and grind:
Discuss interview prep • r/leetcode.
The whole pipeline is designed by Asians for Asians. Surprisingly, most white people in tech think the whole leetcode thing is fukking stupid (it is) and that it is not a good indicator of how good you are as a software engineer. It just shows that you've grinded leetcode a bunch.
EDIT: teamblind is like 4cac meets old Facebook. It requires a tech company account to sign up and you can see poster's company, but they remain anonymous. It's where they go to talk about the industry without censoring themselves.
