As I have stated before, the prevalence varies by region. It is far more common to see BW with non-BM on the West Coast than it is in the South for example. It is not an uncommon sight for me so I never personally viewed BW with non-BM as "outliers" despite what happens in the rest of the country.

In MY personal experience, the black women that I know (family members, friends and acquaintances) including myself are not dating/marrying down. Now I have no idea what is happening with others but that isn't what I see in my experience. Sorry.

The "stats" and what people see/experience in THEIR lives are two different things. My personal experience with the black men in my life (father, brother, cousins, grandfathers, etc.) also does not line up with "stats" about black men and crime. So is that a blatant disregard for facts as well?
