I'm a Nas stan but I remember @gatorking said some real shyt awhile ago. He was like I don't know why fans like to think Jay is a demon and Nas some type of enlightened prophet, when the fact is they're both two grimey nikkas from new york

nas is overrated as fukk. i really only like two albums of his. illmatic and lost tapes. and lost tapes isn't even a real album. the rest of his discography i just ain't fukking with.
More than anything Nas has some type of paranoia issue. I don't think he's schizophrenic like his BM says but paranoid, yes. That may lead him to make funny style moves in real life, but it has also made him a better writer.

it hurt his career more than it helped. The Realness is basically a long playing diss record, that doesnt really age properly. the music was good but when i look back at how obsessed he was its kind of weird

he's not consistent at all. he's a dope rhymer. but his beats are trash. all of his albums, with the exception of illmatic, lost tapes, and it was written (which still had a few missteps) have terrible production. be real, fam. stillmatic. god's son. untitled. those albums are almost unlistenable.

Yeah Mega is nice, but he has an awkward delivery/speech impediment thing going on, so it was gonna be hard for him to have any cross over success.

Mega's rhymes are more poetic than people give him credit for, but yeah, his style has always been an acquired taste.
And
at Mega being even remotely as nice as Nas. He's a great artist, but c'mon man. This is some Twilight Zone ish. Nas is ahead of Mega on every list for very obvious reasons.
