You could say any point in time was too hard or too stressful or too whatever to have kids. And yet we did anyway, while enslaved and living under Jim Crow
Just say you dont want kids and its your personal choice and leave it at that. The fear mongering isnt necessary nor helpful to anyone...
To OP, you're 35 and have identified you want to be a father. Life is short, and we are at an age where considering our mortality becomes a reality, whereas when we were younger, you never think of a day you won't be here. You're dating, if you find a woman you like, be honest that you wanna be a father. That woman could agree and want to give you a child...
Your expressions make it appear as if you're the candidate whose life would improve dramatically once you have children, because you want them. Do it, and don't let anyone say you're dumb. Obviously do your best to vet the women you're with, but honestly, you can do all the vetting possible and still end up with a crazy mother for your kids. Just do your due diligence...
Mf's say there's societal pressure, is there really? I had my first child at 27 going on 28, maybe that's why I never experienced it? But I didn't have my child at 22, I experienced most of my 20s childless, and I just don't recall there being this pressure to have kids. People would ask from time to time, sure...
