i feel decent. i mean, as we can see have kids is probably the most brainless thing a human can do (it just takes 10 mins of fukking) so i don't feel like i failed at anything. the only time it hits different is tax season. and for that reason i think about adoption. and then i do some retail therapy then it's back to feeling decent lol.

OP there are plenty of orphans out here that need parents :manny:
the expense of a child will be more than your added deduction/refund…Net loss financially if that’s your only reason

i feel you. but then you have the whole "raise a child to be a decent human being" thing which i think will make up for it.
i love a good endeavor lol

im sure having kids is some amazing shyt, and i would never knock it. raising a son has to be some ill shyt as a man

but without kids, ill be retiring in my 40s, and i still don't know one dude with kids that i actually envy. not one :mjlol:
Me too. That lifestyle does not look appealing to me at all. And grow up to be cogs in the system and I don’t want to force them into that lol

Why are you telling him to do it in the first place without any type of background?

More to raising children them just "vetting" a mom.

His posting history is all over the place.

Our community looks the way it does because we refuse to have real meaningful conversations about things that matter. Instead we just throw around generic phases like "be responsible" and call that good advice.
We can respectfully disagree. I'm not under the impression that I gave him bad advice and I didn't think it necessary that I provide a play by play breakdown of preparing to be a father for him...
Wondering how many dudes that are so over the top pro kids actually live with them full time in here :sas2:

Can you explain why would this matter that guys don't full time live with their kids? I don't believe you guys have children, correct?

Do you not want kids?

I still don't understand why people feel any pressure or would call themselves "failures" for not having kids. I think its fine to not want any. I just disagree with the posters who have this fearful rationale for not having them...

There is never a great time to become a parent, if one's measurement is the state of society or another person's yardstick. You can plan appropriately and with seemingly the right person, and go from there...

my taxes are like 30k so idk about that but i feel you. but then you have the whole "raise a child to be a decent human being" thing which i think will make up for it.

A child not gonna save you more then 5k on your taxes, food, clothes, diapers, time, activities, babysitter, medical for 12 months $$$$$$$$$

Unless you 1099 yourself and say raising your child is a contractor position then you can deduct everything lol

Why would that not matter tho? It's easy to talk about all the good aspects about being a parent if you don't have to experience the not so good aspects 24/7/365.

**Nobody can plot their life out 100% and anything can throw your shyt off so I'm not saying anything is wrong with anyone's situation but that is a pretty big detail to account for here.

just judging off my actions and the fact that i haven't had one by now although i've had plenty of offers and chances... i would say i'm neutral about it.
i think they are cute and something to do so i wouldn't mind having one, but i'm not going to force it at all

and yes i am scared of physically having a child. i be thinking i am going to die giving birth since i am old now :dead: and then what it does to your body...
that's one part men don't have to think about.

When I was just a few years ago I was fine, kids and even dating fr weren’t on my radar. Enjoying my hobbies, flexibility, free time and working -it didn’t feel like a void, I think the main thing that comes is “will I or won’t I” for timing. Even that tbh isn’t as critical considering women can have healthy children even into their 40s-with that said do we want to muster up the energy it takes to keep up with them/can you really trust that your male counterpart will actually be a partner in raising the kid. Men don’t typically invest the same time, energy etc into their kids whether they marry, stay together or split.
