I built a beehive out of waste timber

A few months ago, I made a 2 ten storey bee hive with years of left over timber from my dads previous projects. Im a month away from extracting 100 kgs of prime yellowbox honey(i live next to a yellow box plantation). These are the results. The beehive is 2.5 metres high so could only capture the bottom half. Most of the timber used are native to Australia, with alot of red gum, blue gum, cherry, and maple. Some of them are exotic african mahogany.
Ill post pics of the internals when I open the hive for inspection. I didnt have my bee suit on today. The bees are italian. I think i might get the Australian native bees next year. I fukked up the concrete base tho. I might set another foundation next year with proper steel reinforcment. I moulded the stainless steel locks myself. It took me 2 months to construct, it would of taken me a few weeks if i didnt have exams.

how many times have you gotten bitten? what are you going to do with over 200 pds of honey? i want some organic honey combs

i get bitten every week, im used to it now. i think years of getting bitten desensitized me to the venom. When ifirst got bitten, it was painful fuc and i cried

Because i have italian bees, theyre venom isnt poisionous or as painful as the other breeds

I keep 20 kgs for the family and ill sell the rest to the Ethiopian community. Organic Honey has spititual value in the Ethiopian church so i sell it to the local Ethiopian church aswell. I have 12 more beehives in my other relative house, they get 20 percent commission. I get 6 grand every year from my hobby. Its good pocket change

Not always, bees are very temperemental. There are days when I could sense the bees arent very agressive and i would just use the smoker to calm them down, but today, they were aggressive. Thats why i didnt get close. You can tell by the noise they make and the size of the swarm. It also depends on the season. Summer is dangerous times because they are active during those months while winter, theyre calm and easily subdued
