What led to Stringers demise?

Trifling with Avon's reputation

1.Setting up Omar and Brother

2. Going after Omar on a Sunday morning. Gerard and Shamrock where hesitant because of the rules of the game about Sunday mornings and String still gave the ok.

3. Brother Mouzone had to remind Avon that Stringer represented him so every thing String did was going to reflect on Avon and his reputation was at stake and a direct line to NY

Omar was going to leave them alone until Stringer had them dudes shoot at his grandmoms

Then why didn't you just fukking leave, genius? A visionary such as yourself should have resigned from command as soon as the bossman returned. And retired from the life. Gone straight into that white collar world.

But no, because you are in fact a fukking retard, you didn't make the obvious move. You wanted to be both criminal boss and legitimate businessman. Life doesn't work that way. No man can wear one face to himself and another face to the world, without getting bewildered as to which may be true. So it was with you. You got things so twisted up that you tried to be a legitimate drug dealer and a gangster developer. Pathetic :mjlol:

Snowfall ain't fukking with the wire in no way shape or fashion.

Nostalgia is undefeated:hubie:.

Some of us like documentaries, some of us like imagery, blockbuster suspense,Oscar worthy acting, weekly cinema:banderas:

As realistic as The Wire tries to be,its too unrealeastic. I'm of the belief you should pick one.

Avon was a small minded chump who lacked vision. When Stringer died, I stopped watching The Wire. Stringer’s weakness was his loyalty to Avon. He should have had him killed.

:yeshrug:
String's weakness was thinking he was more than a drug boss. Avon knew what he was and made millions doing it, meanwhile String was emptying his bank account trying to be Trump.

Yeah, most successful gangsters who avoid prison and an early death do what String did. They go legit - or, at least, successfully give the appearance of doing so. String’s missteps were part of of the process, but the setback didn’t deter him from continuing to create a future that insulated him from the streets. Avon’s obsession with street cred cost him his freedom and the life of his partner.

No his bytch ass partner cost him his freedom. And Stringer got himself killed playing both sides of the fence.

Avon didn't tell his dumb ass to try and play Mouzone and Omar against each other

While avon was very smart he too scared to venture off to legit shyt.

Best immediate analogy is how KD approaches the game. He just wants to ball. Dont care about flash, dont care about his appearance. He wants to succeed and leave a legacy.

same as avon. Dope dealing was a game he excelled in until nikkas started to act funny.

At least kd got to leave the team.
Avon has the club, that was all he needed. String inadvertently fukked that up.
Avon was getting his ass kicked playing Marlo for a simp
Omar was the thorn in them boys side. Stringer dropped the ball on Omar a couple of times. Get rid of Omar early, without displaying his lover's body like that, leave Wallace be and Marlo doesn't get a foothold.
