You don't need 2 racks wtf. People have this misconception that PC is thousands of dollars to buy one. You can build a $500-800 PC that will look better than your console.

I spent 750 on my rig 3 years ago and only thing I've upgraded since was upgrade my ram to 16gb and upgrade my video card. Spent less the 1k altogether for the past 3 years.

OP, just go to PCPartPicker and select your rig. It is all custom. PC gaming is far better console. Console is great if you have friends or relatives over but nobody does PC gaming it seems. Everybody on the mobile device - or console gamin

Wouldn't that be the point, though, breh? To max out the current resolutions at 60 fps Ultra quality? Cause if you build it at 700 or even 1000, how long would it even keep up with the latest titles?

I spent $964 in 2012 and upgrade the GPU in 2015 which I am still using which can still max out games

Even at medium, most PC games look better than their console counterpart.

Yet most people can somehow justify spending $3k on a under performing mac. I paid $2k for my asus rog and it maxes everything out, I can take it where ever I want without hassle, hooks up to any tv, xbox or ps4 controllers, plus everything else that comes with owning a computer.

Yes

You spend more on hardware on PC but the games are cheaper (you don't even have to pay for them) and the experience is vastly superior due to perks such as this little thing called modding...

Console peasants can only beg, pray and dream of content like single player DLC for V...

On PC we create our own DLC content and play...

Current gen consoles are struggling to achieve 1080p/60fps. You don't have to spend anywhere near 2k for a system to pull that on triple a titles plus you can emulate Atari 2600 through Wii.

You are missing out big time by dismissing PC gaming. Going from 900p/30 fps to 1080p at a solid 60 fps is . I think my system can do over 100 fps on extreme settings for some of the games I play but I don't want to start chasing that 144 frame rate because that's when you start to get into $2k territory.

But nah, you really don't need to drop that much on a PC unless you have legit problems. My budget build can play anything thrown at it without breaking a sweat. The main reason why dudes spend that much money on a PC is due to the following:

1. Enthusiasts
2. Legit crazy people
3. Want to max out games to kingdom come

You really don't need to spend 2k for a pc stuff, but I'm barely at home so I prefer my console or laptop. With console, games run off the bat (no installing drivers,etc) which is why I think most people prefer them.

Yeah man I can only echo what everyone is saying in this thread. You don't need to spend $2k and you def don't need to do it all at once.

A $700-$900 rig will get you consistent 1080p/60fps on every title and +1440p 30-60fps on most titles. Seeing things in a consistent 60fps has really warped how I see games now. It never mattered to me until I started to see it consistently coming off an XB1.

The only thing I hate about gaming on PC is having to have a login for all these different services(Steam, Windows, Epic, Origin, etc).
