MIA to ATL
I watched the video earlier and was mixed on it. I definitely felt from the first listen that Jeezy was in the right for ending the business ties. He was thinking he can get dude hot and work a deal at a major for him but that black ball on Gibbs was still in effect I guess...

But more importantly, after hearing how he broke down the YG situation (telling him to not use Bompton, releasing "My nikka" w/o YG's ok, etc.) it sounds like Jeezy is just one of those dudes who thinks his way is the best way. Nothing wrong with that especially b/c he was right on the theory but Gibbs has been on that indy tip for a minute so to have somebody tell you "I think this record is the one for you to do a video for" when he's not in agreement made it hard for them to not bump heads.

Sounds like Gibbs wasn't taking to Jeezy's lead and they clashed on the direction/vision of his projects. Nothing to get upset about personally, just cut ties and keep it pushing. In the end, YG is a better fit for CTE anyway b/c of the records he was already making matched Jeezy's ear for hits. Gibbs isn't in that same vein, and Jeezy don't know how to market or package an artist like him from the look of it.

:usure: :childplease: two hot singles =/= a critically acclaimed album
you're right, but critical acclaim = a critically acclaimed album

two hot singles doesn't equal a COMMERCIALLY acclaimed (successful) album

SMH at nikkas talking about Jeezy helped YG. I dont give a fukk about neither one of them, but the situation is basically that YG is "Game" and Jeezy was "G-Unit". Not saying he helped him craft songs better, but it's just a business move. It happens all the time, yall seen it..Pill, Game, Wale and the shyt been going on for decades. Yall just dont know it or seem to not see it.

:dead: at mumble rap i swear yall will say anything to make a point. gibbs seriously got one of the best flows right now period, can turn on/off the doubletime with pure ease. gibbs isn't gonna blow because the average listener is just :scusthov: because 'bout it bout it' sounds just right for the climate
gibbs came out about 5-6 years too late but he'll be beloved for his output in a couple years cause he seriously has one of the nicest discographies of the last 5+ years
jeezy is one of my favorite artists eer, but I knew Gibbs would get screwed out of this deal because the conversation would turn from is gibbs making dope music to he can't make a hit and jeezy can't do everything for him

man Jeezy came up in a different time period which is why he blew up. He came up now and it could be a diff story.

:russ:yall gotta be kiddin me if you think this nikka Gibbs would've blew up if he was in Jeezy era as if the competition wasn't much heavier....he's built to be a background nikka that kill shyt....im not sure what Gibbs even lost out on exactly, what was Jeezy getting paid off of if he only put out mixtapes while he was over there on cte:patrice:?...he was better off staying over that and getting thrown on a Jeezy or YG track which could potentially be a hit from time to time, and just be that background nikka like he's built for but getting his money:manny:....I remember when I was young and naïve and thought Jayo Felony and Paul Cain shoulda been superstars too:mjlol:...but that aint how the game work, dude don't got nothing about em that says superstar but it woulda been good to have em on cte,i checked for em cuz Jeezy cosigned em if that makes Gibbs feel any better.

Jeezy gotta stop signing dudes on the grounds he think they real nigggas too though....its hard to blame dudes when they start to think CTE is a charity fulfilling real nikkas dreams to make the transition from the streets to the fame:mjlol:...even hanging wit Jeezy shoulda made you some good connections,i seen Gibbs at Bet awards wit Jeezy and shyt,in videos.....was you networking Freeddi or trying your hardest not to be a industry nikka meanmugging everybody:patrice:...I :salute: nikkas that don't wanna play the industry lets all be fake friends game but don't cry when shyt don't go how you want it to go.

And cut that YG was a success before Jeezy shyt out,its partly true buteven YG said he was having trouble wit Defjam and was shelf status before Jeezy stepped in,and that Jeezy helped him improve as a rapper so you crazy trying to not give him no credit:rudy:
