YG success was his own doing along with the assistance of DJ Mustard.

Its Jeezy's fault for signing artists he know he can't produce results with . As a label owner you're expected to spend money on your artists

I also blame Gibbs for putting his career in the hands of a guy who has proven that he can't break artists. Gibbs and Jeezy didnt even have great chemistry on tracks either smh. Would've been better off signing with 50 or pushing this ESGN label earlier.

Gibbs got a habit of running off at the mouth about labels and not being pushed. He's equally at blame for Jeezy and his beef. He's the type of Nikka that need to manage himself, he only know what he wants.

Gibbs is about 18 yrs too late unless he can come up with something flashy. He has hard raps and no real image. Plus it ain't nothing we haven't heard before. Gucci has A&R'd alot of the current "talent" out there. A song with Em and multiple tracks with Jeezy on popular mixtapes and no label wanna give YOU a situation?

Nah can't blame anyone but self.......And pulling out Rick Ross like he did was weak. You dis the dude then talk about how he ride.

For who? Pill ? Stalley?

Stalley is the same as Gibbs. Who wanna hear or see him like that? Stay indie!!!!!

yg? when has jeezy had an artist that he's taken seriously until freddie gibbs?

yeah 55k first week is really great considering the features and budget for MKL :patrice::mjlol:

I'm a huge Gibbs fan and honestly knew he wouldn't blow because he in the beginning was shyttin on mainstream artist.. Hell he just did a song with young thug

Point is Jeezy can only do so much
nikka got u on a song with Em.. It don't get bigger then that, and on a anticipated and well received album.

I think Gibbs issue was he knew how talented he is but probably got frustrated no one seen it in him
i think its more of an issue with jeezy trying to get him to do shyt that he doesn't wanna do... as the person who signed him, you know what he's about, he wants to do his own thing so why would you try and get him to change?

i think he mismanaged gibbs from the beginning though, you cant force someone to make music they dont wanna make.... shyt he said it in the interview, he wants to keep being him and doing him so why would he force someone else to be something they're not

Because it's a business's at the end of the day

You think Jeezy doesn't have other nikkas he HAS to feed?

This is the same shyt 50 said it got to a point where he was paying nikkas to be his friends

If Gibbs knows what's best for him then it'll show now that he has no one. nikkas need to stop with that bullshyt that they gone blow up off pure talent. This is the real world and the industry is too big and too connected to let some nikka slide in talking street shyt with out some sort of mainstream appeal.

Like I said I'm a huge fan of Gibbs, I think he's criminally slept on but my nikka just needs to chalk this to the game and get focused

Listen I highly doubt that's the case, what music was he forced to make he didn't want to? Gibbs shytted on mainstream artist on his come up and said he wouldn't work with those kinds shortly after gets on a song with a gay rapper

90 percent of the people that bump Gibbs do it off the strength of Jeezy, so hating on him makes no sense. Up to a certain point, all the press and interviews GIbbs was getting was about how he felt post the Jeezy situation and Gibbs capitalized off of dissing Jeezy and other big names. I respect Gibbs as a artist but lets keep it in perspective. Most of the people in this very thread that love Gibbs and hate Jeezy know that they would of never heard of Gibbs if not for the co-sign.

these are two of my favorite rappers but if jeezy signed him with the intentions to make him blow, he's a terrible boss... i understand the 50 comparison but still

This and close the thread. No hate to Jeezy but this happens when you sign nikkas, sometimes it doesnt pan out and you gotta eat that cost
