Nas appropriately titled the song Ether..:ehh:

The song, the symbolism is forever etched into Jays legacy..:ohhh:

I mean, let's think about Blue Ivy in school, kids fukking with her asking if "does that Ether, still burn ya daddy soul?":lolbron:

Even in 2025 kids will still speak on that Ether.:salute:
Like Blue Ivy ain't gonna get back a test with a 69 or 72 or some shyt and the note on it says "this that shyt you need to learn though"

and the whole "nas won the battle, jay-z won the war" spin is hilarious. what war?? them nikkas are friends now and have been for close to 10 years, thats not a war. it was a hip hop battle between 2 legendary mc's and Nas won it convincingly, it wasn't a battle of who is the better business man, shyt sounds stupid.

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Guess what, Ether was musically not as powerful as you dudes think. Takeover was far more powerful, and had far more impact....musically
I think both songs were dope...but what the fukk does this even mean? :mindblown: What impact did Takeover have aside from provoking Ether? Did nikkas start sampling The Doors all of a sudden and that became a thing? :dwillhuh:

Only hardcore Jay Z fans are deluded about the comet like impact of Ether...

Nas SONNED Jay-Z with Ether...All that war talk is GARBAGE rationalization...Nas dropped Ether, it did what he intended it to do, and he kept it moving...

Saying that Jay Z won the war is like saying Foreman eventually won the 1974 fight because he is in relatively better health than Ali...It is stupid...
no.

Takeover, JAY dropped facts (album sales, real situations etc.) Ether was fictional tough talk

You said you've been in this 10, I've been in it 5 - smarten up, Nas
4 albums in 10 years, nikka?I could divide
That's one every...let's say 2

2 of them shyts was due
1 was "nah," the other was Illmatic
That's a one-hot-album-every-10-year average
And that's so (lame)
