This is exactly my point.
Can’t get blacks they want. That’s a very different statement from “no blk girls liked him” or “there are no nerdy black girls around”. The top tier creme de la creme blacks. And if they can’t get them…they’ll settle on non-blks but pretend like nobody wanted them.
Meanwhile, these types have a very narrow or non-existent desire for blacks in their own race, but claim there are scores of non-blks who fawn over them. But that’s because they hold non-blacks to a different standard than their own race. For him to have wanted a blk chick, she probably would have needed to be mixed or blasian looking. But for non-blks all you gotta he is non-blk and you’re in there.
Why? Because special snowflakes rarely want their own in the first place. Why? Because blacks don’t have the same social value and currency that non-blks have in communities. And special snowflakes are DESPERATE for social validation. They still trying to fit in and living out revenge fantasies from grade school.
Not saying that there aren’t toxic elements in our community in romantic dynamics. But ALL communities have those. We just been brainwashed into thinking that non-black grass is somehow greener, even tho the shyt blks deal with in other communities is oftentimes more toxic than what we have in our own. But we’ll overlook it because the prom Queen didn’t want you or a black boy ridiculed your Afro in the 6th grade so now only white men like natural hair and only non-blk women like nerds.Not taking anything away from your experiences btw, but this drama gets old and some in our community seem like they are looking for any little reason to dismiss their own, while putting others on a pedestal.
Listen to yourself. Why would anyone date an ugly black person….which is what you’re saying they should have done….when they can date a normal looking person in another community? You don’t even make sense. That’s like giving up a scholarship to a PWI to pay full price at a HBCU to “keep it black”. And one of the bad HBCUs too. Why aren’t there normal looking girls in our community dating guys like him?
Embedded in your response is already an assumption that non-blks would look better when we clearly see multiple cases that many blks who link with non-blks get less than their own level looks wise.

I see fat and what would be considered “nerdy” in the black community white guys with normal and even pretty white women all the time. Chubby white you with a beard and pretty white woman with a bikini body are very common.
If you you don’t fit into a hyper masculine image of a black man then you need an obese or ugly black woman just to say you’re keeping it black?
And I’m no hypocrite. If a black woman can only attract broke black men, but attract middle class white men she had the right to go with the better option.

Basically this. The Donald Glover of today isnt who he was before the fame. Especially in his NYU days circa 2006. Black culture was very different back then and from the way Donald looked he didnt fit the mold at all. I can understand if he was ostracized.

You are describing exactly what I mentioned when you say blk women should have dated the Donald’s, only you refuse to admit to the fact that many Donald’s didn’t want those black women. It’s like it’s okay for Donald to think non-blk women are attractive while denigrating black women who may think non-blk partners were more attractive.
To me I see two coins of the same side. If you put nerdy, socially awkward, weird blk men and women in a bag together, I don’t care how compatible they are. I don’t care how cute they are. Those weirdos WILL find a way to put a mediocre non-blk mate over a black one for reasons I outlined in this thread. But namely b/c they never truly wanted reasonable mates in their own community in the first place because average blks can’t give them the social currency they desperately need to feel like they getting back at the community that allegedly didn’t want them—even tho they never really wanted to be apart of it in the first place.
